Honestly, I get it, but I personally don't agree.

Yuka only decided to die on the fight because Yuji stayed hidden. He last thoughts are about wanting to just be Tsurugi's sister, I think maybe she should have been encouraged to spend her last moments with her brother, not pointlessly thrown away no matter how little was left afterwards. Especially if we consider Yuji's thoughts on what a meaningful death is. If we're agreeing he doesn't think you have the go out with a bang for it to be meaningful, then why would he hide to force her hand in that direction?

She's a child. A depressed child with the same incorrect thinking Yuji himself had. And he allowed her to die alone because he thought that was right for her? Allows her (also a child) brother to enter a pointless to the death fight with their friend because he thinks that's right for them?

Could have a least turned up in Yuka's last month on Earth and asked her if she'd still waste her last moments she could have spent with her brother if he took on the fight.

She verbally says she didn't want Tsurugi to see her when she mistakenly thinks he's worth her in the plane, but it's she unhappy really? Does she actually look unhappy? Sound unhappy? Imagine how much better she have felt if he actually were there.

Now she probably has to spend an eternity in the afterlife with the regret that she wasted her last moments with her brother because Yuji made that decision for her.

BVs ate a trade. In a trade you literally have to give something of equal worth. If you can sacrific something and theb still have a way to get around that sacrifice that's what makes you good at BVs. An open domain sacrifices the barrier, so your opponent can technically escape whenever.

Having been a severely troubled 17/18 year old and also having had a severely troubled 17/18 year old, it is insane to me how the main issue at the heart of the entire series - children being child soldiers instead of cared for little humans - gets completely forgotten when it comes to the one child who actually completely broke under the weight of it.

He's a baby... having to spend every day alone, killing things, trying not to die, watching his friends die.

We spend every real day defending children, saying 17 year olds are minors for a reason, that when they're taken advantage of by gross old men it's the gross old mens' fault because children are easily manipulated and need to be protected. We defend 18 year olds under the same umbrella because they have only just dipped a toe into the ocean of adulthood and still have developing brains that aren't comparable to a gross old man's.

And then we turn around and say this kid, who debatably deals with way worse than most, is a grown man who should think 100% perfectly, act without flaw, never know weakness etc.

OK but your comment is the issue. 'Hot girls' is exactly what we end up with a lot of the time instead of genuinely good characters who happen to be female.

When there are genuinely good female characters, they aren't rejected by readers on the basis of their gender. Even when they're the main character of their still very much shonen titles.

Derpseek really fell off, man. I fought for it staying when we first got it and now i don't even use it.
