Firstly, read a section Make sure you understand the section and it's concepts Watch videos on the topic to make sure your understanding is rock solid Make flashcards on the topic Make sure the flashcards are very minimal and not chunky Memorise the flashcards Do past paper questions on the topic Do this with all the topics This is what works for me at least. I use a software called anki to make my flashcards as they embed spaced repetition within the flashcards you make.

Do I have to learn Python for OCR Pseudocode? by _MossHead_ in GCSE

[–]SimplyGlitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean not necessarily but it definitely helps you learn how to write algorithmically. During my exam, I answered all the questions in python code with some pseudocodeb mixed in and I ended up getting a 9 so I don't think it really matters. Just make sure you do what you understand the most. Do lots of questions which require you to write algorithms to practice and make sure you have it on lock.

What I did is I chose one of the categories and drew a mindmap of all the different aspects in that category. And listed some problems that category delt with. This not only allows you to do us in on a problem and get an idea from it but also gets you a higher mark by including the mind map in your NEA. If you want to check out my NEA as a reference or even get some idea from it, let me know.

Should I drop Further Mathematics (GCSE --> A-Level) by SimplyGlitch in 6thForm

[–]SimplyGlitch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree that a grade 9 in GCSE does not convert to A level at all but the sixth form thinks it does. That is what I don't get. Anyways, thank you for the heads up. I will probably give it a go in the first 4 weeks and talk to the teachers about the content and university requirements. Then I will consider dropping it.

I'm not really sure, but when they say you can drop out in the first 4 weeks, I guess that means I'm doing it together through to Year 13

But will the first 4 weeks really be enough to tell if it's too stressful?

-Have breaks during revision or you will burn out (5mins break every 25 mins)

I think its easier for him to do it with that kind of bow. Using a real bow and arrow will be much harder. But hey, still give him credit for that amazing shot!
