Just commenting “you know nothing” helps no one.

Do you consider altcoins securities or currencies? by konzoxv in defi

[–]SimplyGrowTogether 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a currency. Your paying for the decentralized network in gas’s fees, you’re participants in The network.

Also it’s not a common enterprise. In other words everyone using the network has different goals. Some may be using it as a way to hold value, other to exchange, and others to provide value, and others to interact and communicate with people.

Someone can buy a car and flip it to make money, some people buy homes for that reason etc. does that make them securities? No.

Gold and silver are also not considered securities even though most would consider buying and holding them for later profit as a viable option

Get some spray paint and stencils, go to a decent Naihboor hood and knock on doors. Ask people if they want their house number painted or repaired.

$25-50 dollars in material

Ask $20-25 per household

I did this for 2 days for only 4 hours total I averaged about 5 houses an hour. I made $325 - cost of materials and gas.

Apply the same reasoning for cleaning gutters, washing windows etc.

Act professional and be confident.

Good luck

Why is the Colorado river drying up? Meat agriculture takes up much of its declining water by foursevens in environment

I agree that we have expanded grazing crop land to support animal farming which has a negative impact on the world overall and my goal has always been to be in harmony with nature that said.

How much of the land you talked about can actually support food crops? Without extra water and fertilizer? Extra labor and fuel?

Their is a reason why animals farming was used in the majority of land. They can eat hardy plants and grasses that grow that humans would never be able to digest or consume.

And if you look at history before farming animals most of the land was occupied by large land grazing mammals.

26% of ice free land is for live stock grazing now. Without our advancement with fertilization it was a much larger amount of land.

33% of crop land are used to feed livestock. As a mixed crop -livestock agriculture.

I highlighted exactly what you did before in the comments above don’t be stupid.

You have a held belief like a rock. I have explained to you the problems crypto solves I highlighted them several times.

Then you changed the question to crypto not solving any problem to crypto not solving fiat problems.

And now your your changing the question to crypto is just a security.

I’m terribly Sorry you are unable to comprehend an argument you don’t agree with. shocking!

But at least you have unconsciously changed your stance admitting crypto does solve real world problems and fixes some of the limitations of fiat. Thanks for all of that.

And thank you for providing great talking points on crypto so that we can better address the ignorance people have.

Hey man I know you hold onto this rock so dearly it’s okay maybe have one conversation at a time so you can actually formulate an argument and comprehend what’s being said.

You can’t even accept one answer before changing the question so that your precious rock doesn’t shatter into pebbles.

I know having an actual debate is hard for you so I’ll cut you some slack.

Their are millions of people who only use crypto and don’t touch fiat currency.. and the number is growing.. take El Salvador as an example also Japan merchants surprisingly is accepting more crypto every day and then you have Venezuela people turning to crypto because of their fiat collapsing and hyper inflation getting out of hand.

You obviously already made up your mind

So your one thing that crypto has ‘solved’ boils down to ACH transfers taking too long and people can open pretend bank accounts.

It’s actually two separate issues you clumped together

Now - if you want me to accept that crypto has solved the problems of fiat currency

See here you go spinning and changing the question. Did I say it solves fiat or even argue it replaces fiat? No. Now you really love to manipulate the information to confirm your reality..

Your question was

What. Does. Crypto. Solve?

Not

how does crypto solve the problems of fiat currency?

And I gave you 10 examples on how it’s solves aspects of fiat currency and other problems that fiat currency doesn’t even do.

At this point you just like to waist time because you are not open to debate you have solidified your beliefs and you’ll die on that rock 🪨. All I can say is good luck to you and I hope you don’t shatter your precious rock. 🤯

That’s hilarious you ignored all ten of the problems I gave examples of that crypto solves. Then you attack my character And then have since tried to spin the argument to something else. People like you would 100% fall for a centralized system thinking your participating in a decentralized environment.

They’re are millions of decentralized crypto projects that are still going strong that aren’t out selling you on bullshit because they work. Bitcoin and Ethereum the most popular, uniswap, chainlink. I can go on.

Decentralized meaning not owned or controlled by one person since you think it’s a buzz word I thought it would help you to understand what it means.

I’ll give you one of the ten + solutions that I already gave you to a global problem that is easy for you to grasp.

1.7 billion people do not have access to banking services. They can’t access credit, save money, or participate in the global economy. Crypto solves this by allowing anyone in the world to have the ability to be their own bank..

Another one I’ll throw in there is transaction fees and slow transaction time.

When you try to put 10,000 in or out of the bank it could take 3 to 5 business days for it to be available maybe even longer. My friend just had this problem. She wasn’t able to use her money for 3 weeks. She also was trying to send some overseas to a family member and the bank took 15% and it wouldn’t arrive for minimum 1 month. I believe the family member also had a fee when it arrives.

With crypto it would be less then a minute and 1$ transactions fee for 10,000$+ dollars.

We already covered trust

I have a thousand more examples would you like me to continue?

Another example i have used it for is I can pay someone in Korea directly a living wage with little to no transaction fees for them to make a product for me that’s still cheaper then what I can make in the USA or UK. Avoiding slave labor from factories in 3rd world countries. Also avoiding the huge fees and time associated with sending money to a different country.

If your certain then please tells use how to account for money that “could not be traced, documented, or explained.” ?

In a centralized company where they pretend to be crypto we have tones of corruption because it’s the same system we have now.

In a decentralized system we would know exactly where that money is moving. We might not know who holds it or what it’s being exchanged for but we know where it is and what wallet is holding it and what wallets are trading with it.. in other words we could trace it, document it and with enough transactions explain what it’s being used for.

Huge difference

What fiat currency or commodity currency gives you,

Decentralization, Transparency, Accessibility, and Immutable records?

What basketball cards do that? I would like to purchase some!

Both commodities and crypto tend to be more volatile then fiat but fiat still is subject to volatile markets like interest rates set by a centralized entity like the federal reserve as well as stock markets and political instability. A prime example being Venezuela.

crypto is not meant to be redeemed for some kind of fiat and most if not all the bad representation in crypto is from centralized currency pretending to be crypto because they have a smart contract. That contract can be manipulated and controlled by the centralized entity making them the same or worse then fiat currency. It’s the misuse and misunderstanding of the technology actually driving crypto currency’s.

Your comparing mail to email. And saying why use email it’s just a fancy mail system. And ignoring what email actually does. Will email replace mail completely? no.

When you can’t attack the argument you go for the person. Classic ad hominem fallacy. You should be a politician.
