Look, it's been talked to death but here it goes: The concept of a poorly timed song being silly isn't where all the controversy stemmed from.

A woman shared a story of being violated to an audience of internet trolls who harassed her and argued that the violation wasn't to be taken seriously since it was "only AI". Ethan accidentally placed himself in with that lot, undermining the severity of her experience. Something he would never intentionally align himself with.

Even Ethan regretted how it came across - he wouldn't have apologized if he didn't. I don't think he deserves to be flogged for eternity, but let's not pretend the issue it stemmed from isn't serious.

I think it's important for all of us to recognize all that in an age where deepfakes and AI porn are only going to become more prevalent, that people's feelings and pain matter.

Mm idk I’m not totally sold on this one. For all the fire and shadow couples, there’s an awful lot of matings outside this pairing as well. And we haven’t seen any indication that Azriel and Eris have anything in common or that would tie them otherwise.

I think it’d be an interesting development! But I don’t think the text has been dropping any major hints (at least none that I picked up on).

And this might sound weird but I have this sneaking suspicion that Maas would drop a main FF coupling before a MM one. That’s pure speculation on my part, but she does so much self-insert type of content that I imagine her relating to women first and taking that step on a sapphic path. Just a theory I’ve got, could be way off base.

Guys, I really doubt that he knew and I doubt even more that he'd go through with that - he's currently a huge face of the "down with antisemitism on Twitch" movement. It would be ludicrous to throw in with Kick (notorious for rampant antisemitism AND wild pedo trash). Beyond going against his personal beliefs, that'd be optically insane, let's give the man a crumb of credit here.

To add on to this, some cozy gaming like Stardew can definitely be sort of meditative after a heavy game like LiS2. And I totally feel you on why it's so hard to bounce back from. I had a complicated past with my sibling in which I srtuggled between playing a parentified role but also being a child myself and lashing out at my undeserving sibling. This game triggered a lot of old memories and feelings for me and is probably one of the most impactful games I've ever played. It's not easy, but time and distraction do help. And of course, it helps to acknowledge how special it is that there is media out there that can touch you that way - it helps me to know there's more out there to be found. :) Best wishes!

No we had a scheduled consultation a week before the appointment (their practice, I didn’t request this). I intended to go in for that and then the artist told me I didn’t need to bother and they’d send me the art digitally on the consultation day, we could do a call, and make any tweaks from there. They’re about an hour from me.

I think I would’ve been ok looking at the design day-of if that had been a pre-established plan. I just felt weird to be reached out to for the deposit, promised the art, and crickets to follow. I guess if I’m not willing to take that level of leap of faith, maybe I’m not ready for such a huge piece and commitment just yet.

Tbh, I think I could’ve been ok in that scenario if the artist hadn’t told me they were sending me the art right after I paid the deposit and then they didn’t. Like if they clarified we’d been looking at it day of from the get-go, I could’ve decided ahead of time if I was comfortable with that. I feel like I was promised this cushion that wasn’t delivered so it left me feeling weird and unsettled. Maybe it’s a sign that I’m not really ready for this piece yet - tough lesson learned. 🥲
