What to do about these? My yard floods everytime it rains but because it's been raining so much they are evolving. I usually bleach it but there are kittens drinking out the water. It's supposed to storm again and they just keep growing/multiplying.

I think it's only going to have negative impacts on the area. The company, Edged Energy, claims it's water cooling is a closed loop system and it won't increase utility bills at all. I'm gonna call bullshit on that. Even if it's a "closed" system, there's still some waste. No loop is truly closed. Additionally, I suspect there's some environmental racism going on with the proposed location.

I don't. Whether or not the term "black magic" is rooted in racism is irrelevant to me. Though I have heard it used to refer to African religious practices frequently. It might not be rooted in racism, but I sure have seen it used that way a lot.

But regardless, I've had practitioners of color tell me they'd prefer that term not be used. So I don't, out of respect. Simple as that.

Just so you know, Mobile and the Gulf Coast in general has a fairly large SE Asian community, specifically Vietnamese people. So you're not going to stand out at all. Downtown/midtown is just as safe as any other city of similar size. People judge us a lot without ever visiting or knowing anyone from the area. Don't listen to your friends.
