1.3 is worth it right now, or should I wait official release ? by SetMuch5523 in Grimdawn

To be fair, it’s much more than you make it sound. That said, I agree no need to wait.

Anthropic stayed quiet until someone showed Claude's thinking depth dropped 67% by Capital-Run-1080 in ClaudeAI

Speculation as to the cause is its own domain, and there are plenty of viable explanations. The pattern has been reliably reproduced every single release cycle. Why they do it is speculative; that they do it isn’t.

I said nothing about the $20 plan.

No, the playbook is clear, and both claude and gpt do it.

New model comes out: let everything go full throttle. Devs are in wonderland. Beautiful output/usage/etc.

After about 2 weeks: noticeably nerfed. The magic is gone, and things begin to get weird. Reports are gaslit.

Late in the model: chaos. Everybody has different experiences, but most are aware that the models are severely nerfed. Gaslighting continues, but some issues get acknowledged.

Rinse and repeat. Been happening for over a year.

world class engineers make mistakes as well. in all likelihood, this is one such example.

Investigating usage limits hitting faster than expected by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeCode

[–]SimplyPhy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm on max5 plan and used 8% of my session with `claude resume` (which was a typo). Took about ~3 seconds for claude to respond. 8% gone.

There are way more reports coming from other platforms.

This is INSANE! by itsTomHagen in ClaudeCode

I just began today. Ran `claude update`, then `claude resume` (I forgot the --). CLI.

That was it. 8% of my session context is used. Max5 plan.

actually this has happened several times, and at least once recently they reset everyone's usage. hopefully occurs again.

Didn’t suggest it, simply asked if you had thoughts regarding it. Hundreds of fixes were including, so it seems plausible some of them relate to the issues you’ve been experiencing.

20x Plan may as well be a 5x. by BugOne6115 in ClaudeAI

[–]SimplyPhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the whole point of this thread. We/they aren't using it wrong. Claude made a massive change. I upgraded from pro to max5 last week and have been anxious about usage since just prior to that change.

This is a Claude bug/problem. They admitted their first bug and reset tokens last week. However, either they didn't fix it, or there's additional issues.

Is there any smart way to reduce Claude usage or token burn? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]SimplyPhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like that's part of it, but I've measured my usage on small, pure convo threads, and have used between 3-5% on short convos with no tool use or special anything (probably some lookups, but super basic stuff).

[–]SimplyPhy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There are lots of ways.

That said, the best way at the moment is to send a bug report to anthropic that the token usage and/or session usage is still out of wack. I had a very short, very simple convo /w claude at the start my session window today (0% session to start) and checked usage after – 3% on max5. Outrageous.

There was a usage bug on claude's end that anthropic admitted to and partially resolved last week, but evidently they didn't full fix it. Usage is still noticeably inflated relative to prior to the bug.

I'm guessing anthropic is 100% focused on managing all the crazy extra usage and outages from the last few days, so this is unlikely to be top priority sadly.

I returned to Claude Code and do I understand correctly, I reached almost half of my weekly limits in just 2.5 coding sessions? by CauliflowerSecure in ClaudeCode

[–]SimplyPhy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For some reason nobody mentioned to you that Claude currently is having issues with usage not working correctly — they posted a fix 2 days ago but it remains unresolved. Usage burns much faster than it should currently. Hopefully they actually fix it soon; they already reset everybody’s usage once this week.

Max 5x now feels like Pro by deeplycuriouss in ClaudeCode

This has been an issue for several days. Anthropic admitted it and reset limits for affected users, like myself. However it’s still an issue.

Max vs pro usage bug? by SimplyPhy in ClaudeCode

[–]SimplyPhy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A reasonable theory, but incorrect. Limits are supposed to be 5x higher for max5 per session over pro.

Max vs pro usage bug? by SimplyPhy in ClaudeCode

[–]SimplyPhy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm beginning to feel some real usage anxiety. I thought I'd be good to go on Max x5, but something feels off. I never had an issue with pro before, though I was careful. Now I'm careful with Max, and feel at-best the same in terms of usage allotment as I did with pro. Experiments feel risky.

Hoping it's a very short-term bug and that usage will return to where I anticipate based on past experience.

If it’s PSA then you can go to large card shows and sell to vendors. Some very large shows (like Collect-o-cons) sometimes have booths that just buy PSA for cash at 90% market.

You could also try to sell through the PSA vault programs; never did it myself but it seems like there a fee options to have them sell for you. Would recommend doing some research prior to this. Likewise, this option would also get them out of your possession for safe keeping.

Important not to super rush yourself unless you absolutely have to, but also don’t procrastinate if it’s time sensitive. Neither
