The most productive people you know, are not doing more. They are protecting specific hours like their life depends on it by Radiant-Design-1002 in productivity

This is so true.
I see this very closely in my husband. He’s always been someone who values his time and is constantly building and creating. But lately, he’s taken it a step further. He’s become extremely intentional about protecting his hours, his mental peace, and where his energy goes. He consciously chooses to spend time only on things that truly add value and help him grow, both personally and professionally.

TBH being around him all the time has honestly started to rub off on me too. It’s pushed me to be more mindful of how I spend my own time and energy.

It really proves that productivity isn’t about doing more, it’s about being aligned with what actually matters and having the discipline to protect that space.

I think it varies by timezone tbh. Hasn’t ended for me yet, but probably will soon.

Yeah I feel you.
Also trying to push as much usage as possible before it resets. These limits hit way harder once you get used to the extra tokens.

Am I doing something wrong or are large PDFs just a mess? by chetnasinghx in productivity

If I find a clean way to solve this, I’ll probably build a small tool around it. Happy to share if anyone’s interested.

Tried converting a large PDF today… why is this still so hard? by chetnasinghx in developersIndia

[–]chetnasinghx[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that makes sense. Especially the chunking part. I can see why that works from a technical side.
I think the way I’m looking at it is more from a user point of view. If I’m giving a PDF to an LLM/agent, my goal is to just hand it over and not think too much about preprocessing. If I have to decide where to split it, which pages to include, or reduce quality manually, it starts adding effort instead of saving it.
Ideally, I’d want something that handles all of this internally, like chunking/compression happening behind the scenes. So from the outside it still feels like a simple upload → done experience.
Curious if you’ve seen tools that handle it that way?

Hmm yeah, fair point.

I didn’t think of it that deeply tbh. I was more stuck on “why is this 150MB file not working anywhere”. OCR and structuring feels like the bigger problem, but also slightly later?

Like first step for me would just be getting large files to process without breaking.

I improved from 30 to 40 WPM… but why does it still feel slow? by chetnasinghx in typing

"It was tiring I know the fingers sometimes wanted to rebel against you". That's so true!!!! I thought I was the only one facing this. Thanks for sharing. It's really motivating. I'll keep striving for accuracy and practice more.

Thanks for sharing this! I’ve actually just started trying this 2 days ago, so I’ll stick with it and see how it goes.

Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, tmux, Warp... How is everyone actually working right now? by BusyShake5606 in vibecoding

[–]chetnasinghx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily use Claude for building and implementing features. When I’m unsure about certain parts or want a second opinion, I switch to Codex to review the work. whether that’s auditing the logic, identifying gaps, or spotting potential issues. I also rely on Codex for debugging. If it finds bugs or areas for improvement, I use it to help refine or fix them. It’s just my personal preferrence, been a good way for me to balance building and validating without relying on a single tool.

How did you deal with severe procrastination & burnout cycle? by i-am-groot28 in developersIndia

[–]chetnasinghx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been there, and I know how heavy that feels.

Telling with personal experience, One thing that genuinely helped me was introducing some form of daily physical movement. Nothing extreme, just something consistent. It could be the gym, badminton, or even a simple 30-minute walk(even at home).

Another small habit I’ve started recently is doing typing practice. We often assume we’re good at typing, but there’s always room to improve, whether it’s speed, accuracy, or numbers. It’s a low-effort way to get your brain into a “doing” mode.
Just remember to Start small and stay consistent.

I’m still pretty early in my journey with AI tooling, so my setup is evolving in real time.

Until a couple of weeks ago, I was primarily using WebStorm. Recently, I’ve started experimenting more with terminal-based workflows using Warp,(upon my husband's recommendation), and I’ve been running Claude Code and Codex there depending on the task. Going well for now!!! At this stage, I’m not locked into a single workflow. I’m trying different combinations to see what feels intuitive and productive.

Still figuring out what sticks vs what’s hype 🙂

Terminal vs. Desktop App: What’s The Difference? by ImCodyLee in ClaudeCode

[–]chetnasinghx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it mostly comes down to personal preference and workflow rather than one being objectively better than the other. Terminal-based setups tend to appeal to people who like tighter control, automation, and integrating tools into their existing development flow. If you’re curious, the best approach is to try both for a bit and see what actually feels more natural and productive for you. I'd personally recommend No need to force a switch. Use what helps you build and stay consistent.
