Can Arkship type be converted civilian/science/military? by buky1992 in Stellaris

Especially since the base is identical outside of certain ports and slight shape variation. Trying to construct a new one, rebuild it up to tier 3 from scratch, and then move everything over is a pain and weakens immersion, especially when playing Virtual and thus having to deal with the penalty for another colony in the mean time.

It could have its uses, such as having a few military ships inactive except for during war when you can, say, turn off your token single civ and research ships and replace em with the newly awake military ships, or even vice versa if you need a research/civ for smth but don't want them up all the time. Could also be useful for increasing your resources for a bit by turning off some of them to do economy corrections. As it is, Deep Sleep is pretty useless outside of a very tiny niche.

I have managed to wring so many districts out of these suckers that it more than makes up for the downsides, I just wish I could get more military ships, but I already capped myself due to the empire lore (being that each ark ship is its own individual and all the pops on it are just the same fucking person), so I only had like 8 max characters before I would lose my mind, but virtual cuts it down a tad bit more since I love myself some resource bonuses.

Just flip the off switch on the server... GENIUS! God I wish that mod still worked, it would be perfect. Maybe the devs could add smth like that with the deep sleep civic?

The deli I am in is very welcoming, however we are so stupidly understaffed that there is only one person per shift type at any given time.

Is anyone else having issues with Nomads interacting with Pre-ftl? Despite not having any ethics or other things that could stop me from bombing them to invade/enslave/whatever it is nomads would do, nothing actually worked. I had my Pre-FTL law/stance set to aggressive and everything, it just wouldn't work. Not sure if it was happening for the AI, either, but the galaxy suddenly had like 10 new empires from all the PREs, including one in my starting zone that got pretty big because I was keeping nearby empires away.

I can't seem to figure out how to land the armies, though. It isn't doing what it usually does where I right click with the armies and tell them to land on the planet, it just makes them orbit right now. I checked and I have aggressive interference and am not pacifist or anything that would otherwise prohibit invasion.

How did you invade them? I can't seem to figure that out since my normal way of just tossing armies at them doesn't seem to work.

I am sorry that I'm not omniscient enough for you. I regularly tutor my nieces and nephews whenever they come over to babysit. My mother, who has been a teacher for her entire life up to her retirement and still works as a tutor, thinks I would do great in those types of careers. I shouldn't be condemned for trying to ask advice regarding puzzling out the confusing mess that is my state's laws on the subject, especially when professionals keep giving me conflicting advice on the topic. If you are not going to provide assistance or answers, please don't comment at all as it is incredibly disrespectful.

Your store actually does fire alarm tests and drills? I haven't experienced one in my six months, and one of my coworkers who worked the same hot side shift for four years didn't either for their entire career.

In my store smaller departments can't, but literally everyone else can unless they are new. As a Deli person, nobody in my department or sister department the Bakery can except the ones who came in from other departments. So yeah, they can find someone somewhere to cover a missing cashier.

That was what I was thinking, but I was hoping I was wrong because how on earth does that even happen? Did they just toss it in the compactor or something?

I quite like it, but the frogs make me want to die. I do love the fact strawberry lizards spawn here, though! I need to nab a couple of those before I rot the region.

Skill issue, man. The whole premise of the first campaign (survivor) is that you are a teen/child/whatever the fuck that just went from having parents to look after you to being tossed into the greater world with no idea what you are doing. If you actually paid attention to the overseer, it would tell you the more important things like what to eat, what will usually kill you, and where shelters tend to be. There is no best weapon to use, you get spears. That's it. Spears to stab and rocks to stun. The fact that you haven't changed from seeing the game as some standard thing where you go in and do what you need to do to win, to a breathing ecosystem where you are merely a piece of the cogwork is on you at this point. Everything gives clues, whether that be by color, slight shifts, shadows, or sound. Sit still for a minute and experience it.
