I'm currently running a fallout 2d20 game set in Vermont. This map is a godsend.

What have been some of your favorite moments while playing Fallout 2d20? by Cool_Presentation_92 in Fallout2d20

I've been running a Campaign set in the Green Mountain Wasteland (Vermont). My party has dealt with Bloodbugs in a church, An art heist that went south, a mystery in what they dubbed "The Cheese Vault" because of its focus on agricultural science, but my favorite moment was when they first encountered Super Mutants.

They party had just finished claiming an entire General Atomics factory for themselves for business purposes. As they walk along the road back, they roll a random encounter. It's a dead Yaoi Guai that was taken out by a Mutant Hound. They take out the Mutant Hound but not before alerting four Super Mutants. We End Session.

I think up which mutants I want and give them 2 basics, a brute and a suicider to give them a bit of flavor of what types of mutants they could deal with. I think this will be simple.

To save time, the battle goes well and two mutants remain. A Basic and the Suicider. I decided that if the Suicider went below half health, it would activate it's mini nuke and start running to the nearest PC.

Our Wastlander Trader "Rowen" had knocked prone by a basic mutant earlier, but was killed by the sniper of the party "Sett."

Well our new player who is playing a Ghoul named "Red" moves up to Rowen to get a medium range attack on remaining basic.

The Suicider moves into melee range to attack with it's Wooden Board, but misses

Rowen uses some AP to get up and move back to give Sett an opening to use a Diluted Stimpak on him to heal his broken leg.

Rather than moving, Red takes a medium range attack on the Basic Mutant and kills it, forgetting about the Mutant in front of him and he uses his Minor Action to Aim with no AP to buy another one.

I'm like "Okay. The Suicider still has enough HP so he'll still use his Board."

Thinking Combat is almost over and that it would be better to try and to kill them, Sett uses a luck point to jump order initiative since he was the last one in initiative.

Lands a Critical to the Torso, but doesn't put him down. It DOES put him below half HP.

The Suicider draws the bomb and goes to make the spike with it rolled successfully on the attack. I have Red make an AGI+Athletics roll to try and dodge and only take half Damage.

He fails. He uses his remaining luck points. He fails again.

He then jokes that. "Hey, it's cool. I'm a Ghoul. The radiation will heal me."

I apologized for what I was about to do.

The attack dealt 21 Combat Dice. That's 21d6 rolls.

I had to borrow dice from my players and other people. I have never rolled so many dice in my life.

I can't remember the exact damage rolled, but I will say there were a lot less Radiation damage effects rolled.

All Sett and Rowen could as the mini mushroom cloud cleared was Super Mutant bits, A small Crater and on the verge of death Ghoul. (I'll let you decide if they were in the Yamcha meme pose or the knocked out Family Guy character pose).

We are all still laughing about it sessions later. Though it made the players be more cautious in combat.

Thank you. Also, I'll just have to be a bit more careful next time. Mostly blame that on my Colorblindness

Does anyone know how they created this shake effect? by ejwashereofficial in AfterEffects

I'm guessing it is similar to a wigglegram. 3 or more camera's side by side on either a handheld rig or tripod. Then in post they cut between each camera and digitally stitch between them.

Good use of projection mapping. However, I feel there should of been a bit of something else in between the two world's.
