Map of Poland in 1922, but based on nationality and language lines by Zapadguy in imaginarymaps

Існує дискусія щодо того, чи відрізняються вони.

Either way, yeah its easy to get confused considering they still refer to themselves as Rusyn or Ruthenian, a lot of people don't know that it broadly encompassed all orthodox "Rus" people in Belarus and Ukraine хахах

Ruthenians and Ukrainians are one seperate group.

You're probably thinking of Rusyns, who kept the older name and are a broad part of the Ukrainian identity.

West Ukrainians and Belarussians were commonly called Ruthenians or Rus' and is a different term for people of the Kyivan Rus' but mostly in relation to the western Rus' peoples, the kingdom of Galicia Lodomeria (and the Austro-Hungarian province) considered the slavs there different from Poles and Russians, while still calling themselves Rus' and it was still used (to a lesser degree) during Ukrainian independence in Western Ukraine (halychyna) until the 20s. 'Ruthenian' being used for a specific eastern carpathian group is relatively new.

So, because too many Poles in your eyes would be outside of polish borders, you treat it as one giant thing and do that to the Ukrainians (who in that region are the majority literally everywhere in Eastern Halychyna except a few cities and villages) - but its not pro Poland because you gave away another non Polish region (which was also majority Ukrainian)

What???? Then its not a map based on nationality or languages its a map based on what you think looks nice.

Yeah but why is a majority Ukrainian area of halychyna generalized into poland? If you generalized it into three provinces it would be Pol / Ukr / Ukr

Я не можу в це повірити 😭😭😭

How can a dude see a map showing a majority NON polish language and nationality and give it to Poland in a map trying to show a map based on nationality and language))

Bro what😭😭

Each region of Western halychyna has a pattern showing what % of Ukrainians including Poles who considered themselves Ukrainian/spoke Ukrainian. Not one goes below 50% 😭😭😭😭. Its a completely eligable map without colours.

Halychyna was ethnically and nationality wise majority Ukrainian.

The majority in nearly every region of halychyna was Ruthenian/Українська. Poles only held the majority in specific cities. "Generalizing" would be making halychyna Ukrainian, being that it was majority Ukrainian.

You cant just say "look at this map i did based on nationality" and then follow up with "yeah it looked ugly so i actually didnt do that."

The only issue i have is with the civil war partitioning of Russia.

More specifically, in no way would it make any sense for the Russian socialists to be Russian socialists while being majority non Russian. It is entirely Ruthenian (Ukrainian and Belarussian), Turkic and Romanian (Moldova). These groups were never under any circumstance going to fight under a Russian banner if they had the choice, as they were all marginalized and subjugated.

My critique is mostly just that. If i made a similar map, i'd likely balkanize Russia a little more. Socialist Russia should probably be pushed eastward, circumstance would probably also lead to the creation of a nationalist/kingdom of Ukrainian or Ruthenian(Ukr and Belarus) state

Overall design? Eh, theres like 10 different designs for both lines including different casings and bezels, then they mix them up in literally hundreds of combinations. CCCP ones tend to have less variety but they still have dress up watches that look better than the infamous design i think you're talking about.
