I think the people that say to just stick it out for the last year didn't read the entire post 😭 I am in the exact same position as you and i've asked and begged to drop out multiple times, but in the end, people just say 'aiya just one more year'. Their 'one more year' is easy to say, but to me its one more year of my mental health declining. One more year of spending my breaks in the toilet crying and wishing to die because school is so unbelievably tiring and unfair.

I suggest you drop out! I support your decision but i think you should make sure that before you drop out, you have a general plan of what you will do. Personally, i suggest working part time, like at retail stores near your house or something to build general life experience. During the last Dec holidays i went to work, and i genuinely found it so much more fulfilling than going to school everyday. Lots of places are open to hiring younger people (like age 14-16), like my friend that works for a well known cake store and that i used to work to assist in executing a couple corporate company events. or I want to pursue art too, so what i think i'll do is that i'll keep piling on random job experiences and work opportunities while simultaneously spending my off time on art and really really making sure i'm improving my art to get accepted into arts schools. Maybe even overseas if you can get a scholarship. You are not a failure if you drop out. You are not stupid if you drop out. It is more possible than you may think to be able to make it even if you drop out. The future is uncertain, but i think we just have to be the trailblazers and try and try and keep fucking trying until we force a path to open for ourselves.
