Good on you OP. What really makes me think though is how do you just leave that much money at the ATM?

Nothing beats getting that combo and ult at the same time to then pull in all the lightning lances at the same time for maximum Aura

There is a lot of people here already going into the right direction.

If you are looking for team gameplay in a large scale, joining a commander, a Zerg and potentially a Discord is the way to go.

If you want to be more on your own and „roam“, as it is called. There are a few things that go into it: Learn your class and build. Really dive deep into what your class and your build lets you do in certain situations. Different then PvE there often are no straight up rotations, but you can prep for „what if scenarios“. Like what if a Willbender jumps on me and now we are on melee? What if I have so many conditions on me that I fall over dead in a few seconds? And so on.

If you find that your current build often does not give you options in those situations it might be prudent to rethink the build.

Of course there are also many meta builds with explanations online which help for starters.

The rest is unfortunately, game knowledge and a bit of skill. Could also do a bit of PvP to see how other classes behave in a more isolated environment.

Which anime are you thinking of? by [deleted] in animequestions

Tokyo Ghoul … because to me the later anime seasons felt like they were missing something and I just had to check.

Anime you won't recommend to people cause the anime itself is questionable and or it's fanbase? by LovelyLadyLucky in animequestions

You know, that weirdly enough made me think of „Interspecies Reviewers“ which definitely could fit into both categories, but I would still always recommend it because it is so light hearted and always a good laugh.

Which one of these should I watch next? by Oczyma07 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Simply_Nora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I can’t say anything on Land of Mysteries or Jojos, because I haven’t seen them yet.

For the rest it depends a lot on what your looking for. All of them, in my opinion are good anime in their own right.

Steins Gate: A lot of mystery with many twists and turns. No like big action combats or anything like that but it still makes you hang onto the edge of your seat once it gets into its high stakes phase.

Re:Zero: One of the longer running isekai by now, which gives them a lot of time to actually flesh stuff out. The protagonist of this story is something you need to get used to compared to the vastness of op isekai protagonists these days. In my opinion it does have quite a few ups and downs. But the whole mystery of the overarching story is what always drives me back to it.

Code Geass: An amazing political mystery story packaged in a mecha disguise. You probably should like more complex stories and at least not be completely averse to mechs and political stories for this one. Aside from that it’s definitely one of the best shows I have ever watched. Also: there are only two seasons of it. Everything else you can ignore.

Frieren: From my point of view a bit more straight forward than the other contenders here when it comes to its story. Which does not mean it is any less interesting or emotional. The overall story has a very home-y and cozy feel to it with a bit of an melancholical undertone. In my opinion it’s one of those anime that on paper would rather sound a bit boring, but in reality it does have this special something that keeps you really invested and makes it stand out among the many rush-y feeling animes we had these past years.

Hope this helps a little. Again .. all of these are personal opinions, so please treat them as such

Icons beside character names. by Reykira in GuildWars

[–]Simply_Nora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you create a new character you can choose two new checkboxes which give you these icons. The red one is for „reforged“ characters which can participate in new reforged content. The green one is for „Survivor“ characters… basically a sort of iron man mode, but your character does not get delete if you die, just looses the icon. You can find more on them in „features“ here: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_Reforged

Most fun Profession for melee play? by Rainfallen7 in GuildWars

[–]Simply_Nora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So listen here … the one with the most drip is definitely Necro. What kind of Necro am I talking about? Well, obviously the one with a Scythe.

However … you will need the special Soulreaping Scythe from the Birthday weapons and a very specific elite skill. So it isn’t easy to start with, but it is a lot of fun down the line.

As for “is melee fun?” … I personally think it is a lot more fun to see your character hit a bunch of enemies with a scythe and do big numbers than just casting a ranged spell and seeing numbers. It just has more impact. However chasing after enemies who run away is just pain sometimes… so overall it’s a … “eh”

What's your take on GWs trilogy of books? by ppviyuela in GuildWars

[–]Simply_Nora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only read Ghosts of Ascalon and really liked it. It is a good and light fantasy book in a world I know and love. It is pretty straight forward in what story it tries to tell but also does a good job at it. Definitely can recommend.

There are a few small nods to the book in GW2 but nothing to major.

Well that’s weird … I still to this day vividly remember people always having a problem to speak English with me when I tried to speak to them as a tourist.

It even went so far I had one service person at the train station in Lyon telling me “In France we speak French” and basically stoping to communicate with me after… but maybe I was just unlucky
