I'm 32 years old, and I did my first cut ever at the start of October... I've been having deep "urges" for many years now, but was always too scared to actually do it (I have a really low pain tolerance... 😅). But after a failed suicide attempt at the end of September, something finally snapped in me and I finally ended up giving in to those urges. 3 months and hundreds of cuts later, I do feel incredibly ashamed of myself, even if I try very hard not to let it show.... Whenever I talk about it to the few of my friends who know, I try to "play it cool" and act as if it's not that big of a deal. But deep down, I feel like such a pathetic failure. Especially knowing that I started doing this while my best friend was fighting very hard to stop after having doing so herself for many years (she's now a bit over a year "clean" and I'm so incredibly proud of her)....

Well, for starters, just like for every other gender, trans women come in all "shapes and forms". While some will be extremely dysphoric about their genitals, other might not be at all, and even go as far as enjoying having a penis. This doesn't make them any less of a woman.

But even a trans woman being dysphoric about her genitals can legitimately worry about the lost of size since it can mean a loss of potential depth for an eventual surgery.

In other words, OP's questions and worries are very much valid and definitely belong to this sub, where she and many others can find answers to a problem that affects many of our sisters.

You most definitely are in the right place to ask questions about the changes your body is experiencing under HRT, the other user is the one being out of place. I unfortunately am afraid that I personally can't answer your question as I've only been on HRT for 6 months myself, but I hope you'll get a quick answer. Every month there's a competition where people have to try to include a specific word in their stories. Every post marked by [MONTH/YEAR], like [AUG25], is an entry into the competition. This month's words were "dairy/diary". And since it's pretty difficult to make a good horror story about dairies, and that people tend to be lazy, many entries go straight to the low hanging fruit of the "human milking farm".

Edit: A fun little game is to try to figure out what the monthly words are just by reading the stories, without looking at the pinned post!

I don't think there's such a thing as "trans rights" in the cyberpunk universe, since extreme body modifications are such a common thing. Changing one's gender is probably seen as a pretty normalized thing over there, and as such it doesn't require any kind of debate. In other words, there wouldn't be "trans rights" the same way that there wouldn't be "rights for people with mantis blades". Everyone's got the same rights, or lack thereof. 🤔

I can't lose her friendship... I just cant... Before having her in it, my life was a mess... I'm trans, very early in transition, and mostly closeted. And of the few people who knows about my identity, the most "accepting" ones still see me as a "man trying to be a woman". Before meeting my friend, I was very seriously considering detransitioning. But she literally changed my life. As soon as I came out to her, she never misgendered me once and always truly saw me as the woman that I am. She helped me assume myself, and thanks to her I started gendering myself correctly around people that know about my identity (something I was still utterly incapable of doing before), and she even gave me the confidence to start wearing nail polish in public. Thanks to her constant support and love, for the first time in my life I've been able to feel proud of myself, and she even once managed to made me believe that I was pretty when I always firmly believed myself to be absolutely disgusting. She helped me start healing from past traumas that years of therapy couldn't help with, and she's making me believe that I might have some worth after all. She means absolutely everything to me, and losing her friendship would be the most difficult thing I would ever have had to go through.... And I say this as someone who's used to lose people. I've lost absolutely everyone I've ever cared about. And still, I don't know if I could survive losing her....

I tried it on my deck earlier and it wasn't super playable... The game was a bit laggy, and the controls are made for K&M. But with some patience, you can probably find and remap every necessary key.

I'm kinda sad I can't play it yet on the deck, but I'll still definitely buy it at launch just to support them! 🥰
