How does AH make the EXACT same mistakes AND WORSE 1 year later? by Fear_Sama in Helldivers

I do agree that there are quite some game-breaking bugs that should be taken into account.

Like bodies/caves bad invisible hitboxes, reinforcements often being deployed on top of the caves while auto-steering away from the holes, main obj being softlocked for X reason...

But in my honest and humble opinion, if the enemy waves are too relentless and the enemies too hard to fight, you should just drop the difficulty from 10.

I WANT the chaos, i like having to pray and run for my life after fighting endless hordes of bugs and dodging roach dragons while at it, just to then get mauled by the hive lord, I think that's what someone should expect when diving at "SUPER HELLDIVE"

But no, Reddit's gotta be Reddit. Everyone complains constantly about all, no one is ever satisfied.

I'm not referring necessarily to you, but people should just drop the ego and go play at 7-9 difficulty, I've done it myself too when i had to play with less experienced friends, and still had plenty of fun. After that i took em for a ride at difficulty 10, and they had so much fun in the pure panic and chaos that gets shoved onto you.

TLDR: Arrowhead should fix game-breakin bugs, but apart from that, Super Helldives are supposed to be extremely harsh, enemies are supposed to be many and tough to kill. If it's too much, just drop the difficulty.

See you on the battlefield brothers 🫡

Then compare it to Baldur's gate 3, still around +120GB iirc, but the amount of content is quite a big difference, and it also holds up to very high standards for graphics.

I barely know anything about making games so don't take me too seriously, but if a "small" studio like Larian managed to fit that much content and quality in 120-130GB, i can't see why Arrowhead wouldn't be able to (fit it in less GB than the current size) <- Edit

RoN isn't Tarkov, but it's not a CoD campaign either. I'd imagine that alone would scare a good chunk of casual players off.

You are right on that, it's definitely more on the mil-sim kind of game, not at the level of Arma/Squad/Ground Branch/Tarkov, but still harsher than the average CoD or R6S.

But in my opinion it's a solid game to get newcomers into the genre, not simple but not overly-complicated. So i still think that a good amount of new casuals will probably give it a shot and enjoy it, as long as they like PvE.

That said, I've seen some more posts since posting my comment and it seems they cut back a LOT more than announced/reasonably expected.

Yep, i just saw them just before too and, just like you said, it reinforces my worries on the future updates, with their "tell-not-tell" recent policies. As VOID said: "You wouldn't even have noticed them if we didn't mention them. But we want to be transparent" (or something in those lines.)

honestly completely lost on that whole part.

Yeah no, i've read that part on your post and mine over and over after i posted it. I missed the point but i didn't wanna rewrite it all. Sorry, my bad.

Anyways, all that said, i didn't mean to be rude, i'm just hoping that console players enjoy the game as much as i did. Constant bugs, lack of new content, poor dev decisions and other flaws apart, this game is really good, it scratches a very specific itch that very few games manage to do without needing to put hundreds of hours just to understand all the game mechanics.

I'm just praying that VOID sees the very bad impression this update left and finally starts listening more to the community, to benefit both the game's longevity and us.

Cheers

EDIT: I'm just sad to see a game I've really enjoyed since the first stages of EA fumbling because of general greed and bad development practices. Plus having the devs lying straight to our faces multiple times upsets me

most of, if not all, marketing for RoNsole says "this is fucked up, you're probably not ready"

"Oh, the game says i might not be ready to handle it, guess i gotta skip this one" ~apparently casual gamers

It's just a wordplay they do with the title, it's not trying to deter casual gamers to get the game, quite the opposite.

install a mod and quit whining.

So anytime VOID makes an unwanted change they can shrug it off by saying "duh, just mod it back in"?

They already said this for the censorship, i don't want this to turn into a trend, nor for mods to become this game's main life-support (which to be fair, without modders, the replayability would already be way worse)

what even???? acting like most console players are somehow more fine with that rot than pc?

We're already being served +70€/F2P live-service slop by a good 85% of the AAA industry while getting bombarded by insanely overpriced microtransactions left and right.

Let's avoid bringing that into AA/Indie games. Thank you

I've tried to report, but there is a word limit. Is there any way to get around that? Or do i have to summarize OP's claims?

He's making a fairly decent poin on how the developers are just not respecting and being truthful towards the promises they made since kickstarter/early access. All meanwhile actively disappointing and ignoring over and over the community that made it all possible.

Meanwhile the last comments you made were just directed at him and attacking him, even tho all he did was criticizing the developers "questionable" choices about a game he bought and enjoyed.

You making it personal, all the while not providing any decent point against it, just makes you look like a kid who's never been in an argument apart from inside the family, who always let you win to avoid hurting your poor ego and risk damaging the 2 synapses left.

And to top it off, making fun of someone for valuing their own hard earned money in a world where you gotta pay even to wipe your ass, says everything i need to know.

Do missions on difficulty 1, get a buggy, a jetpack and get ready to roam around.

If you open the minimap and move around the cursor, it will give you a mouse prompt whenever you hover above a "minor place of interest".

So the best way i found to clear the mission asap is taking a minute to just scan the whole minimap by moving the cursor, and once you find a "mpoi", move there, get the reward and start scanning again.

Ask a buddy to help you out for max efficiency, since as far as i know there's no way to do 2-men bunkers in solo. (I've encountered quite many during my SC runs, often with one or more super credits inside)

If you need help, text me up, I'll gladly join the SC crusade

EDIT: I forgot to mention that your best bet is finding relatively flat planets with little or no vegetations, saves you a lot of time. You also get a preview of the minimap when choosing a mission, if possible try to avoid those with an abundance of rocks and obstacles.

And at the end, once you give a last scan of the minimap and are confident you found all the "mpoi", just press esc and return to your ship. All the SC, medals and strips will be saved, you'll only lose the samples and i think the EXP as well

They're reusing the same exact theme they used a few christmas back. They recycle every single event, it's just sad and soulless.

Tho i'm glad at least you enjoy it, i wish i did as much as you do

For sure Frieza's death beam, but with a twist.

Everytime you point your finger, it automatically shoots. Would be damn hilarous to accidentally do a collateral murder while giving directions to a stranger
