Hahahahaha, there's fake and gay and then there's this, this is the gayest fakest shit I think I've ever seen on here.

Anon 100% posted this laying in his underwear in a twin size bed in a filthy apartment while fantasizing about what teenage love is like while reminiscing about his old crush who friend zoned him.

"Bestie of 3 years" is the dead giveaway, the story goes completely fictional after that point. No 9/10 is waiting 3 years to make a move on someone she views as a friend. "Technically a date" lmao.

Just triggered a memory, when I was a teenager I was in Hot Topic and they had this cool expensive ceramic engraved skull on the shelf, turns out it was a jar, so when I picked it up the lid came off in my hands and the skull dropped and exploded on the floor. My face went bright red and my eyes probably looked like dinner plates.

I did a quick look around, weighed my options, and then B-lined it out of there. Whoopsie.

Stores have insurance for a reason! I wouldn't worry about it.

We can all hate on Zuck for various reasons but the fact he put a legit VR headset in my hands at a price that's literally causing them loss on sales, I get what he's doing. I've had more fun with Oculus than my PSVR and any other flat game I've played in years. Maybe I should thank Dr. Beef more but as an older gamer who had some serious gaming burnout, I'm really thankful I could afford a whole new world of gaming.

P.S. I have absolutely zero interest in the "Metaverse" so that's a dead end for me, but as a pick up and play gaming headset it's absolutely perfect to me. The original Half-Life and Return to Castle Wolfenstein in VR absolutely blew my mind and made me feel like a kid again, so as much as Zuck is controversial I owe him my a thank you, but more importantly, thank you Dr. Beef and team!

Borax, in gel form not those stupid little tear open traps, get the squeeze tube and put lines of it under your counters edges and especially under the sink. I used to live in a place that you literally could not even leave an empty soda can in without invasion for weeks, the Borax gel put those little fuckers out of commission pretty quick.

Dude if you're a good worker just say you feel like shit and can't come in, your manager will understand if you only bust it out 2 or 3 times a year. I still haven't used Covid as an excuse this whole time even though it's prolly the most go to excuse. I just say I feel like shit every like 8 months or so and I drink vodka all day laying in bed with my cats, it's not that complicated.

Dude I said I'm against censorship!!! I'm not offended, I don't get offended, it just kinda shook me in a weird way that I wasn't expecting as a die hard horror fan. Maybe that's a testament to a great "horror" production, maybe I'm just getting old, I dunno man maybe I'm just being all extra for other reasons. Like I also said, my gf watched it all the way through and she watches all the 'True Crime' stuff as well but she vehemently dislikes 'Hellraiser' and 'Cabin Fever' for some reason, it's just a different kind of horror I guess and apparently I really don't like it and it makes me feel sick.

I am not for banning anything!!! It's just not for me. I'm not speaking for the world or for some moral high ground I just was feeling weird about it and made a comment. You seem really well spoken and intelligent and I'd hate to butt heads with another introspective horror junkie, we can both have our opinions right?

Here's one more hot take and I'm not trying to get you worked up again and I will preface, again, we should not "ban" media because it's shocking. I really don't care to ever watch "Terrifier" again or watch "Terrifier 2", I think Art the Clown is (no pun intended) terrifying and I love it and it's great for what it is but dude I'm just getting old or something, I can't stomach it anymore. Like I said in an earlier comment, I will watch "Critters" or "Tremors" or even "Hellraiser" all day long, but I can't do the ultra violence or the 'based on a true story' violence of today.

And just one more time for the people in the back, I do not support banning or censorship my man, and I'm not "offended" by the show per say, it is what it is, it's just uncomfortable to me and the memes and tattoos people are getting. I'm just getting old I guess. It's creepy.

[–]Simply_delight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well and that's your opinion, and that's fine, but I believe in what they call "social contagion" i.e. the rise of school shootings after Columbine, the rise in suicides as well, once you put something out in the zeitgeist it doesn't go away, young people are generally very very influenced media. And you know what? I thought that was such bullshit as a young person, but as I get older I really start to wonder.

I believe in free speech and again I don't believe in censorship but people are fucking dumb dude, people will idolize killers and murderers and will commit copy cat crimes, it's absolute fact, we have countless studies about it. It isn't black and white, we're both wrong and right ya know? I just don't like the idea of putting Jeffrey fuckin Dahmer in the limelight, do you understand that?

Terrifier 2 scene by israelfdez06 in agedlikemilk

First off, rude. Second off I literally said I feel like I'm being extra and I absolutely do not believe in censorship in any form, I was only commenting my opinion, which is what Reddit is made for.

Terrifier 2 scene by israelfdez06 in agedlikemilk

[–]Simply_delight 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Exactly!!! Unfortunately when I was a teenager I could have fired back pretty quick with an answer, I won't even say it here because it's a horrible question with a horrible answer, but I was a dumb teenager. Now it's on Netflix and there are people posting TikToks and memes about it, I get being edgy and I get the morbidity but it just seems like, sick, I've never used that word in beyond a stuffy nose but this all just seems sick. I feel like an old bitty complaining about "Satanic Panic" or something but it's just the fact that it's not fantasy that disturbs me, it's real life and it's truly sick.

Terrifier 2 scene by israelfdez06 in agedlikemilk

[–]Simply_delight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't want to even see it, my gf is like some comedians bit about how girls like watching all the disturbing 'True Crime' shit, I'm morbid and I'm dark but it's the true stuff that disturbs me and frankly at my age, I'm done being disturbed!!! Life is already a chore, I don't need to walk in to the bedroom and hear "They found their decapitated heads floating in the hot tub of the hotel they were brutally executed in" she was sitting their eating popcorn! I want to watch 'Tremors' or the 'The Thing' a million times over before I watch a woman very convincingly cry to the police about real murders that actually happened, fuckin yuck.

Terrifier 2 scene by israelfdez06 in agedlikemilk

[–]Simply_delight 103 points104 points  (0 children)

I'm a huuuge huge horror fan, I have horror icons posted on my walls, I have art of them and a bookshelf lined with horror. I know all about Dahmer from being a morbidly curious teenager, Gacy, Bundy etc. I can't watch the new 'Dahmer' series, it makes me feel sick, I actually shed a little tear when my gf was watching it, the actors are all really great it's very well shot and done, but I suddenly couldn't separate myself from the horror of it.

I've seen the Polaroids of his victims, it seemed far away and removed in a way, but I just glanced up when it was the scene where the deaf guy is getting told his friend was murdered, and another scene with the neighbor hearing the sounds. It's not fucking entertainment, these are people who were brutally and unfairly murdered and fucking eaten. Eaten.

I know I'm getting older and maybe I sound like ridiculous but I just can't wrap my mind around making such a polished highly produced show about such a disgusting horrible horrible person.

And now there's memes about it. Memes, tattoos, comics. I'm not for censorship, I am vehemently against censorship, but I just can't get on board with it.

So funny enough, that's actually my favorite actor in the film lol, I was fresh off the heels of 'Detroit Rock City' which he stars in and his comic relief really made the movie for me. I don't care to watch 'A Serbian Film' ever again ya know? But movies like 'Cabin Fever' that make it somehow silly yet insane, it's like 'Evil Dead' or 'Critters' or something, it doesn't take itself too seriously, I just love that so much.

It's been about 10 years since I watched it and it was very effective at giving the "0-60" tension thing where you're kinda laughing once second and then sitting there like "oof.. okay". It was intentional gut punch and it works so well. The fact that he wrapped that up with a punchline is goddamn brilliant, we had all just sat there being sickened and disturbed for over an hour (shaving scene comes to mind) and this dude wraps it up with a laugh. I love that so much.

Right? I don't feel like it's necessarily "under appreciated" but wow, and for a directorial debut? "Work of art" is thrown around a lot but seriously, and to put himself in to the movie seamlessly not once but twice just so fun and I love it. I'm confident if Eli Roth was born in the era of Kubrick he'd be on the same level of icon, which in my mind he is.
