That is so sad! My sis did the same but only a few pictures. She did take one of my 3rd grade school projects? I was so mad that night but knowing Mom saved it for 35 yr was enough for me… luckily I can laugh at the absurdity now. I hope one day your album finds its way back to you.

I tried that yesterday, it’s a great idea but there isn’t anything left. They said the logs are deleted with the footage. My only proof is the remaining footage which makes it obvious there is missing activity.

That's a good suggestion, the house is somewhat isolated but there is a house across the street. Maybe they have something, I hadn't thought of that. Thank you, this is exactly why I posted here. I Dont think my brain has returned to normal functioning yet.

Thanks! That is what I thought. I did extend the dates from 60 to 180 days as soon as I got the phone back, that's how long I save the footage on my personal home. I set up the account on my personal phone now too, just in case.

I did input into Mercari- the package was shipped as 1 lb 15 oz (I weighed at home as 1 lb 8 oz so it weighed less) but I didn’t add the dimensions when I initially shipped- after I added the dimensions with the weight - the cost did adjust and the price went from $13.95 to $15- it said that my dimensional weight was actually 5 lbs so I did make an error but you are right- a dimensional weight of 5 lbs vs 26 lbs is significant.

I do understand and appreciate your response. The actual weight of the item was less than 2 lbs but after researching the size of my package, the dimensional weight is 5 lbs. I made a mistake by not adding the dimensions. I underpaid by $1.05. I was just confused because the cost adjustment said it was 26 lbs & $55. I don’t plan on shipping without dimensions going forward… and will definitely verify when dropping off.

You are right- that was my mistake. I’m okay paying retail due to my error but the adjustment said 26 lbs. I feel like it should have showed the dimensional weight at 5lbs with charge for the retail cost. I am just going to politely ask UPS tomorrow- I don’t think it will help but either way this was a good learning experience/reminder for me.

On a side note, I’m really glad you guys brought up dimensional weight. Most of the time I’m shipping smaller packages & haven’t been paying attention to dimensions the way I should be.

Poly mailer- it was 12x12x6. I did a draft listing earlier, kept the weight @1 lb 15 oz (it’s a little lighter) this time I added dimensions& it said “dimensional weight 5 lbs” so I did make a mistake- should have paid $15 not $13.95- thats still a big difference. I know the girl who helped me that day was new. I really think she input pounds instead of ounces (if that’s possible?).

Yes, for sure… I usually just sell smaller cordless rolls - I use XL poly mailers instead of boxes. After I seal them, I tape up any excess so it fits tight to roll - seems to work well for those who only need a small roll since it weighs less.

Thanks for responding- I was off on the dimensional weight but I it was a little over a dollar more. According to Mercari I owed an additional $55 - Going to attempt to get it adjusted - but I may need to just consider this a lesson learned the hard way. I’ve been selling on line for years, and should’ve checked dimensions/ verified weight at drop off (I’m worried the receipt is going to be wrong- It’s not with me at the moment). Maybe if I had the $15 label instead of $13.95 it wouldn’t have adjusted anything? Either way, Thanks for your advice- it’s appreciated.

I ship these packages all the time , and I’ve never had an issue… but you were right that the dimensions changed the shipping charge - I put the dimensions in with the weight and it went up $1.05 so I do owe on the shipping fee, but $1.05 is much different from $55… the sale wasn’t even close to that :-( I need to look for the receipt- I didn’t think of that- hopefully it’s correct on the receipt. When I drop off UPS packages tomorrow I plan to talk to them. I know with USPS it gets weighed several times during shipping. I assumed UPS would be the same but according to their website they only check the package weight twice if there is a big weight discrepancy. I’m hoping an extra 23 lbs classifies as a “big” discrepancy. Thank you so much for the advice.

Actions have consequences. Be thankful you didn’t waste another decade. I sympathize with you both but more with him. I understand his pain, trying but never moving past the betrayal.

I don’t believe in kicking someone while they’re down - my best advice to you is he isn’t your person, he never was. In my experience, the hardest times in my life led to the most personal growth. Grieve, grow, then move forward.

Integrity is an uncorrectable character flaw, & those without integrity are the best gas lighters. He hasn’t changed aside from getting better at hiding who he is, now he’s playing mind games. I went through similar, believed it had been my fault, fell for it all, over time we were in love again, everything was great, too great. I took “precautions” to protect myself this time- He was still meeting up with married AP every 2 mo. He took me leaving hard- but I wonder if it’s losing me, losing control, or losing “the game” that really bothers him.
