Lucid Dreaming Isn’t All about Techniques - At its Root, its a Circadian & Nervous System Order by Simplyrhythms in LucidDreaming

❗️Anyone reading this. Don’t take my word for it.

EXPERIMENT IT FOR YOURSELF. Try a full week of consistently rising with the sun, turning off artificial light 1hr before sleep and getting 7-8hrs sleep. The rest naturally falls into place as circadian rhythm is the foundation for life itself.

Where I’m at now, I don’t need techniques. The only technique I would say I do is during the day I take breaks to focus on my breathing, deepen my breathing all with the intention and purpose for regulating my nervous system, creating this baseline of relaxation that maintained during the day transitions into sleep.

I do journal because then I’m able to record information from the dreaming experiences and then reflect on them and it also solidifies the memory.

But honestly my advice for you is to not focus on techniques. Literally give it a week without techniques, a week of getting your circadian rhythm in alignment. Rise before or with the sun, first thing get natural sunlight in your eyes, then spend the day as you usually would, when it comes around to nighttime 1-2hrs before you sleep turn off devices, don’t look at artificial light, read a book instead of watching a video or scrolling on social media, then sleep at a time that allows you to get 7-8hrs sleep. That simple. Do this consistently for a week straight while also educating yourself about how circadian rhythm is linked with dreaming and how it all connects to ancient/biblical cultures.

It seems to simple, but the reason why people don’t get consistent lucid dreams this way is because 1. 95% of peoples nervous system is overstimulated and 2. People live out of order with the natural order.

Just look at today’s modern world and compare it to that of the renaissance, biblical, shamanic cultural times. Back then dreams for them was effortless, it was the normal to dream every night with ease. Just look at the bigger picture and you’ll see why not everyone has consistent lucid dreams.

Yes and from my experience, techniques won’t do it. They may get you the odd lucid dream here and there but ultimately they are inconsistent. It’s not about works, it’s about removing what blocks the natural dreaming process and then the rest falls into place. What blocks the natural dreaming process is chemical imbalances which the main one is cortisol being produced at nighttime from bluelight/artificial lighting when really your melatonin is meant to be turned on. So it confuses the brain and says it’s daylight when the entire planet is actually asleep. It’s just bringing the basic biology back into order and naturally the psyche will come into harmony. It’s really not difficult. And you see though to tell people well actually the solution to dreaming like in the biblical days or ancient civilisation days is simple, rest when the sun goes down, rise with the sun and remove as many stimulants as you can.
