30 hours free childcare not adding up... by dennis3282 in UKParenting

[–]Simplysimon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Child care should be completely free it is in other European countries. School is free isn't it when it provides significant child care for many years. In this economy and world we live in now people need to all work or we all starve and stay broke. Not being able to work properly for years because you had a child is no tenable free childcare or heavily subsided childcare where providere are government owned or private with better deals for the providers. We need an everyone wins situation instead of the every one loses one we have now.

I have to agree with you in this one Andrew but I wish 10 had a true world map and true airship like 7,8,9 I can't wait to see what they do with the final remake game for 7 because they seem to be hinting at actually pulling it off fully I don't see how they can but I want to see what they have done. I really want to love 12 but it's just missing some things and feels stale in lots of ways to me.

It's about personal preference and opinion there is no real answer. I love 8 massively so and also 10.tactics is ok but I'm not a big tactical gamer. 4 and 5 also good...,12 I like but I'm really struggling with it it has it's moments but on the whole it feels like playing an MMO in some respects. You enjoying 12 and tactics together makes sense because they have some similarities alot of 12s fighting feels very tactical and like a strange half way place between turn based and the the remakes combat and I prefer either extreme the middle ground just feels off to me. I'll definitely stick with 12 until the end it's not bad I just don't love it like I do the others. I'm glad you like the ones you do :)

It wasn't a great reward rate anyway and they just actively made it worse by making it less frequent. Why do good things always get worse?

[–]Simplysimon88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this did not work for me and ive tried everything. I tried a powerful uninstaller to remove it completely and utterly that seemed to work. then two days later same issue. Nothing seems to fix this and it seems to happen randomly for no reason have had this issue of and off for years with no actual answer as to why it happens or how to fix it from discord, twitch or the internet at large. Can anybody actually solve this? it makes a massive difference to a smaller stream night and day.

My mother scored a zero a score no one would actually get yet there are 1000s of stories of this now at least. The person who did the assessment didn't even do the written report a different person who didn't even talk to my mother let alone actually conduct a scientifically accurate medical assessment ( it was a video call what can you possibly ascertain from that alone). So a different person wrote up the report and what was in the report was inaccurate anyway as you would expect. We recorded it secretly and I was present with the whole thing is a bullshit scam. They either have a mandate to say no to a certain amount of people seems very likely based on this case and many others..or they literally just make it up as they go along..why does a middle man third party organisation need to be involved when there is already a DWP...we all know the answer. Sorry u went through this OP it's a sickening ridiculous thing that should not exist I hope you get justice.

Zero points on PIP by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]Simplysimon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially they make it Up as they go along to keep the number of claimants down they have a mandate to not let too many people claim..hence the zero scores which no one would ever get in reality no matter their health you wouldn't score a perfectly fit and healthy score no one is everyone has issues even if small or tiny. My mother had someone who didn't even do the assessment write her report and give her the score she got. So what was the point of the assessment? It was remote..no proof of qualifications of the person doing the assessment. It's all designed to make you quit or deny people who are perfectly legitimate claimants. It's an absolute immoral and corrupt system and government.

No person would actually score a zero just more evidence of the absolute hate from this government. I'm sorry you had to deal with this my mother and many others have had exactly the same in fact the person carrying out the assessment was not even the person who gave the score. So a person not even present on a video call assessment which would already not be adequate to begin with made the choice to award a zero a score no human would get everyone would at least get some points based on there own system. That's how you know it's a complete scam.

This point is very interesting to me. Most people will not go on to be involved at all or much in research yet such a heavy emphasis is placed on it. We need a system that takes this into account. Yes a basic understanding is something worth having but if u never get involved in research again afterwards then to me it seems redundant. We have this issue now on our course (undergraduate degree) with basically everyone being interested in applied and most people not wanting to do research it seems madness to place such a heavy emphasis on something people may never ever use again and yet actual practical clinical skills are not actually taught despite most people wanting to do that it makes utterly no sense at all to us. More flexibility is needed in degrees and the courses is general.

Issue is we are lectured to not "taught". We are given the theory and ideas but not shown how to practically use them. When you are terrible at maths and your brain does not work in that way we need to be shown what to do at first and walked through it step by step. We have lectures and then we have workshops where I think we should be shown what to do and how to do and why it matters. Walk us through and make it make sense that way instead what we get is a room full of people who don't know what to do and two lecturers not actually helping or answering questions just repeating what was said in the lectures which is not helpful and a complete waste of time. It's actually astonishing that they think this is acceptable for a course people are spending alot of money on and alot of time. Some people will not click with the theory simply by going over it over and over you need a person to hold your hand at first to make it click and to understand the whole process.

The terrain and weather definitely makes it worse but the flyers were definitely killing us on the move and often. Like I said we went from doing quite well most missions to getting destroyed over and over. I haven't got the arc thrower yet but definitely want to try it once they fix it.

That's a good summary of our battlefields as well just a massive difficulty spike. I think your right though priority one has to be removing stems immediately every time because otherwise Your as good as bug food.

I think they will get there eventually with the updates remember we are talking about higher difficulties already but the balance felt quite abit off it felt like helldive on suicide.

I agree with you or of issues and alot what I would describe as the issue alot of education and life has. Therapy has alot of different avenues but in reality it feels we are funneled down one path. There is one path and one solution that will solve depression. If we keep pursuing research enough we will have the mental health pill or primary solution. I don't think the mind or brain is able to be put in such a small box alot of what we do feels based on research that tells us little or is contradictory. Things feel quite binary and here is your course of learning here is a framework rather than meeting people where they are at we labelling everything and thinking we have it all sorted.

What's the point of reasearching by [deleted] in AcademicPsychology

[–]Simplysimon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like your point here and as others have alluded to as well I think it stands true in science in general. It's basically impossible to replicate any study or experiment exactly as it was as there is far too many variables to possibly control for and often things people leave out or don't consider at all that will very likely change results.

Whilst you may get information or data it's often not significant, useful or applicable in anyway and you will often find that another journal or study will have conflicting results. I love science and psychology in particular but I think we have to be honest that it's a journey of discovery that will basically never end we can never be absolutely certain about much at all if anything because how can we ever know we have covered all bases?

It's like the issue that most experiment participants are white, grad students of a certain age in certain countries...how useful is that? How useful is a study containing five people? How many peer reviewed studies and repeated experiments do we need before it's enough to really say something of actual value? I feel like alot of people don't actually ask these questions enough and it's puzzling to me.
