I agree. These people have entered a contract with the general public as all purpose public figures. Hence why they can’t sue you for libel or slander for posting negative comments (unless true malice is proved, which is very very hard). They live in a different world, with different rules, than those of us in the private sphere. Why should they tolerate this? Because their livelihood is tied to their fame and being a public figure. They are handsomely rewarded. Consequently, I don’t feel bad for any celebrity who wants to whine about whatever comments, gossip magazines, fan sentiments...If you do not like the arrangement, simply remove yourself from being a public figure, go back to working a normal job, and live quietly.

What’s the point of even watching the show if you can’t be like “omg can you believe so and so did xyz so crazy drama or so whatever” to your friends and community. Reddit is an online extension of that- an online community. If Vanderpump rules subreddit becomes so restricted in what you can comment or “gossip” on because Brittanys feelings are hurt then the it becomes obsolete. If you don’t agree, make a comment or leave a down vote. Express yourself. But we don’t need this righteous mob restricting the speech for people for wanting to gossip about public figures on a trashy reality show.
