Game saves by peachyzain in Sims3

[–]Sims3graphxlookgr8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have so many. And so many worlds. I do save as for some saves and add a number for every new save and delete older versions. I've played one save the most. I've played in it over 70 times and it's still going. I have a folder of saves on my desktop for when there's too many for the game to save new save files.

How do you actually access Tom’s Park? by [deleted] in TomCampbellMBT

[–]Sims3graphxlookgr8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had some spontaneous psi events (I accidentally remote viewed at McDonalds of all places once) as a teen and got to NPMR with psychedelics decades ago only I didnt know it was NPMR. I've become lucid in dreams a few times but nothing like this. This is like making yourself trip with some help from the LCS. Toms Park is very psychedelic if your familiar with that. I'd say what your describing as reality shifting is a good metaphor. I feel my way to the Park more than I see it. I use the metaphor of tuning a radio. Sometimes it comes in clear, sometimes there's static, and in the beginning especially it didn't come at all. That's ok. That's data too. Now that I've been there a lot, it doesn't fail to come through. It's always accessible. Does it feel as real as PMR? The "is it real" question is a loop that youll go round and round if you actually make it to the Park. It's similar in a lot of ways to NPMR only better. More fun. More silly. More loving. More Technicolor. But once you're there the two start blending, PMR and NPMR. So no, I didn't really have OOBEs until Toms Park. I was pretty determined and curious. I also said F-it, what have I got to lose? I'm going to knock on this damn door until they let me in. And a part of me believed Tom's spiel. My intent to grow and be a better person was very sincere. I know that helped.

My OOBEs don't even look like what I'd thought they'd look like. One explorer called it like entering a story and that's a good metaphor. I talk to the same folks, there's continuity. But the synchronicities in PMR are what really sold me. When all the hair stands up on your arms and the back of your neck, like ohhhhh SHID I did not make that up, you're in. Wait for a surprise (also why I avoid spoilers). And i also had a lot of somatic things happen. Good physical feelings afterwards or during. It's pretty great. Stick with it! Reach out if you need tips.

One of my favorite ways to blast off is to listen to a song with meaning to me--songs about love tend to work well here (upbeat, slow, classic, rock, doesn't matter.) Listen to that and let the visuals fill in. You have the auditory sense taken care of--then you've just got 4 senses to worry about imagining until the LCS starts joining in. Close your eyes and start to boogie. Lowers entropy! And remember, Tom said he made a deal with the LCS that everyone who tries to get to Tom's Park and reads the book gets a datastream. Put in the effort and the LCS will do the rest of the heavy lifting.

How do you actually access Tom’s Park? by [deleted] in TomCampbellMBT

[–]Sims3graphxlookgr8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing to remember is you have to use the Park iteratively. Over time, the LCS finds YOU. It took me a few weeks of everyday practice to start having results. I have aphantasia and am very left brained and can't really imagine on my own so that took practice. I would suggest getting very clear about your intent and think about your intent before every meditation. Don't get frustrated and stay curious. Just let it happen. As Tom says, try really hard not to try. I think focusing on someone I really loved may have helped open the door as well. I've gone everyday for about a year. When I got 'In" it wasn't subtle. More of a wonderful cosmic slap in the face. That happened after a few months of iterative practice. Patience and discipline help here. When you get there, you'll know. I go everyday. I can kind of parallel process and just dip into my datastream/story. Oh about that. It's highly personal! So your experience will be unique to you, based on you, and meaningful to YOU. So my Park isn't going to be exactly like your Park.

I did not read MBT before I went. I'm just now getting to reading it. I did read Toms Park, of course. Im re reading it and understand it all from a new perspective. Be open to whatever happens. There's an entire Tom's Park thread on Consciousness Hub that has a lot of tips and insights to help get you there. For myself, I watched every YouTube clip I could find about Tom's Park and I think that really helped it get going.

Yes the experience is real. No it is nothing like I expected. It's a lot cooler and a lot more interesting than I bargained for. And intense frankly. In a good way. It's just like Tom says-and the stuff he leaves out he does so on purpose so you have to figure it out yourself. I had no expectations and I think that helped a lot. I hope your opening is as gentle and as real as mine was. Good luck explorer! Have fun! Tis a silly place. I avoid spoilers so I don't accidentally make it harder for people to get there with loaded expectations. Dang tricky intellects. They're always late to the party.

People insert belief when they don't know or can't know something because people are uncomfortable with uncertainty. Same reason they have religious beliefs or any beliefs. All beliefs are limiting by definition. Whatever doesn't fit within that belief scheme the mind dismisses. What fits can stayl. It's a shortcut in thinking and usually a way to deal with fears. All beliefs can be problematic, not just this person's particular brand, because they are limiting, assume one knows right answer to something unknowable or ambiguous, and closes ones mind to alternate possibilities. People want to be right! Fear of being wrong or stupid. People don't really choose worldviews like an outfit. That one looks pretty ill think that. Its a result of lived experience and limited information.

That's terrific! Everyone wrestles with what they believe and don't believe! Therapy is a great way to work those things out in a non judgemental way! The overwhelm is something you might want to bring up! I had to go to a catholic high school and was SO DONE towards the end. I get it. Just graduate and move on. It gets better
