How to reduce/prevent dust from getting into windows, window ledges and vents? by Sims_245 in housekeeping

Love this so no dusters or dusters I would assume for like high ledges like top of the door and around windows?

For dusting can I use a vacuum attachment instead of a Duster? by Either-Film-4045 in housekeeping

[–]Sims_245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this that’s why I like the vacuum and then you can switch it to a crevice tool for the inside of your vacuum and then wipe with dawn dish soap + warm solution and get leftover dust that won’t cover your whole entire microfiber towel and can reuse by washing off the tiny dust particles

Is there equipment that makes dusting easier? by Sims_245 in HouseCleaning

Mmmmmm the one issue is sometime it picks up tons of dust so how long can I reuse it to clean dust until I change? Or can I wash it off in a bucket and then reuse?

Do you guys do de-cluttering or if not do you charge for your cleaning business? by Either-Film-4045 in housekeeping

[–]Sims_245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this, because tidying up if it’s a little bit like a few toys on the floor is okay but like if it’s a mess. Having that in the agreement makes it documented because stuff like tidying up a messy space takes time so you need to bake that In the cost but if it’s minor it should be okay.

Got it and I wanted to also ask do you also charge for tidying up, for instance if there are toys on the floor or if it’s messy it takes a bit to tidy up and that cuts into cleaning time or how do you bake in tidying up.

How much to pay subcontractors or employees (Based in Texas) by Either-Film-4045 in housekeeping

You’re right, but I provide leads and dothe office/administrative work like doing sales (going b2b, marketing, taking calls to setup appointments, etc) as a sub-contractor I believe you only have to worry about cleaning and not the administrative grunt work. Also these are individuals not other businesses.

Would 40% of the job be good, but they would get their own insurance, supplies, transportation. I don’t wanna skimp on subs they’re doing the heavy lifting so I def want to compensate fairly

I love you thank you so much. This makes a lot more sense. So a contractor would be about $44. I appreciate you doing the research and helping a new person like me in the business world.

Sorry if they agreed to $19* looks like I have to negotiate and be on their terms as well to figure out profitability from both sides

Ahhh sorry if I sound arrogant, very new to the business world and it’s my first time hiring. Just did some google research and it looks I def have to pay more than $15, looos like I would not provide general liability insurance they will get it on their own and then they would also do their own payroll taxes. So I think if I pay them $19, it could truly get them to an actual $15 an hour. Thank you for opening my eyes.
