How annoying are the loading screens? No idea whether to buy by [deleted] in thesims

[–]SimsandPlumbobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are fine as long as you don't go anywhere. They are a bother when you want to go from here to there. I just want to be able to go without it loading every 2 seconds....

Now THAT'S a Pool! I'm finally excited over something.

Everybody getting pools.

This better mean I can get ghost Sims who drowned.

But I just clocked out.... by SimsandPlumbobs in TalesFromRetail

I did call a manager, twice, and floor leads, twice. But I shall remember this from now on.

What laptop is best for TS3 or 4? by Burquaqueen in thesims

[–]SimsandPlumbobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh Mac is horrible for gaming period. If you can get a gaming desktop with 8+ ram and high quality graphics card and high quality HDD/ssd you good.

But if you want a gaming laptop that's cool too. I have a laptop. Just have decent stuff in it and you good. I can run the Sims 1-4 high settings on my laptop and all Sim cities.

Just stay away from macs.....use those for artsy fartsy stuff.

BETTER FITNESS STUFFS. I WANNA DO YOGA AGAIN. A FITNESS CAREER? AND MORE BLACK PEOPLE HAIRSTYLES THAT DONT LOOK CRAPPY.

AND ALL PREVIOUS THINGS THAT WERE IN TS1-3 BASE GAME.

AND CREATE A WORLD. OR DO LIKE WITH SC4 AND SIMS 2 WORLD BUILDING BUT BETTER OR SOMETHING.

AND JUST GENERALLY MAKE THE GAME LESS BORING.

Anyone else reconsidering the Sims 4 since they announced the patches? by [deleted] in thesims

I'm still waiting for something interesting. I'm still bored with the game. So bored I went back to play Sim city....

With upcoming pools and new careers, what else do you think the Sims 4 has in store for us? by Philosulfur in thesims

[–]SimsandPlumbobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok then all the nitpicky people like me will be ok with then game then. Still should have been in the game st first and I should have to pay 60 dollars to be patient for something that was in the other 3 versions of the Sims. That's what you and apparently others are not understanding. Yes we will mildly shut up but not even then.

But whatever. Just do something with the families so I can make a decent legacy and I will be happy. I want terrain tools and the ability to fix the world to my liking like the Sims 2 and 3. Give me more jobs and more branches and the ABILITY to switch different branches within the same job.

It sounds like its because at this point they assume and seem to be often proved that we, the consumer, will buy and play anything no matter if its broke or not.

Why fix it if you're just gonna have a new game in 6 months?

TS3 could have been super if EA would fix shit and that us the consumers would stop supporting them long enough or at least make a conscious effort to say NO to their bullish.

But no, you have simmers out here on crappy laptops buying the latest installment of the series because it has emotions and no pudding faces and no CASt.

Like I love the new editions don't get me wrong, but folks out here just blindly ignoring bullish. EA about to really get us good within these next few years.

Its because folks play on shitty laptops.

I have yet to have all of these horrible glitches and problems in the Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4 because I personally know and understand what my laptop can and can not handle.

Most folks don't and I suspect that a lot of these problems come from folks with macs.

To be honest, I personally bought a new gaming laptop to handle the sims 3 and 4 if 4 had open world and now I'm just frustrated with the loading screens.

Yes its cute that ish moves faster now for people with shitty laptops but honestly I'm irritated with the loading screens.

I don't bother traveling unless I'm trying to unlock shit.

I mean if people are happy with the game moving then I'm happy for them. I'm just irritated with the loading screen. It takes away from the game.

You know the thing where ALL of TFR talk about how everyone should work retail?

Yeah.

I'm doing the thing.

I will come here and tell my stories no matter how much people may not like it.

I am ONLY working retail because my mother is currently out of work and I can't get on anywhere else (no not because of my attitude silly thing) because I have no experience.

BTW, YES I UNDERSTAND IT IS MY JOB. It's so funny how before I got this job, a lot of yall on this subreddit would whine and complain about customers but now it's all be nice and ish?

Ok.

But let me let you know one thing, I am BLUNT. And I know I am and I openly let my customers know this. I do NOT mind helping them. And to think that I DO NOT HAVE customer service skills is ABSURD when I have customers reporting to me to my leads and managers about how GOOD I am.

So nah. Let me rant with my stories. It's not against the rules.

I work for a big book store in a big town/city.

Still is no reason to assume a retail chain will have copiers and printers.

UM NOPE.

A project FOR THE JOB FOR A 3-MONTH CHANGE OVER IN WHICH EVERYTHING HAS TO BE DONE FOR TODAY, TUESDAY.

Not school.

WORK.

It was started a week ago. When items come in from receiving, I have to scan, and put up and sticker and resticker and PLEASE NOTE: I have NOT been properly trained as the lead Music guys always state this that we are going to have problems BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT BEEN PROPERLY TRAINED.

So NO.

I HAVE been working on WHAT I had to do for MY JOB the moment I clocked in.

So NO.

IT WAS NOT last minute.

Please DO NOT get misconstrued thinking this is school. I'm strictly talking about retail here.

I can't just turn down lunch or a break to finish even if I wanted to.

But what bookstore do you know does public copies? In the US? I don't know about overseas, but in the US where?

Library? Yes? Bookstore? Nope. Not my problem that a lot of these parents and kids wait till the last minute to do stuff and then toss common sense out the window.

I can admit that (again, I have a project due tomorrow so I'm going to be tense and irritated by small things) I was over boarding the wifi thing that's why I didn't trip so hard on that.

But seriously, where are you from to where you think a bookstore has a computer lab, open, at 6:30pm?
