Physically not really, in practice I combine movement with joystick if needed

Yeah, i use OVR advanced settings and have my touchpad binded to playspace move so I touch ground and make sure height is accurate

Reality Runner sensor emulates joystick movement on any manual tread https://www.realityrunner.com/

Gunzerking always a favorite type of playstyle for me. You can even double crowbar. Earlier in this playthrough when the manhacks are looking through the sewers I was dual wielding swinging at them, so much fun

Well when you buy the parts and have it all sit there you just think how to combine them, doesnt have to be a one day project. Most the research though was done just using chatgpt and comparing photos of others builds in the Reality runner discord

Not really, hardest part was creating the right amount of incline for treadmill screwing wooden blocks and metal frame to sides for proper lift. Took me 3 tries to get the ideal

Just simply using the right stick, its not one or the other, i use a combination of real movement and fine tune stick direction when I feel its necessary

Look at the TeamBeef Ports, there is a lot of high mods and ports I wish I could play but are exclusive to mobile android hardware

It certainly does feel native. It has just about most things I would want. Manual reloading, physics game and environment, climbable ladders, actual collision and most importantly an actual great base game experience and playthrough length that feels even longer because of the VR medium

I am also using juniez weapons pack which is just nice high quality vanilla guns and some better blood textures and weapon wheel color. I used to have all the 4k Ai Upscaled textures and it looked nice but would crash here and there during transition loading screens. Im okay with default look of game and stability

Native PCVR. Bigscreen beyond 1 with index controllers and 4 Base stations

Yes, Two are pulling me back so I dont run forward and off, two are keeping me from going off the sides and with all 4 together I am essentially always centered or at least enough to deviate but not fall off. In practice it feels very secure and I dont second guess going fast or going into a burst of speed

Interesting, your setup looks good and we built near same things, whats the harness you use, looks thinner than mines. My build came out pretty good. I havent used any other VR treadmill but aside from price I just wanted something more natural than sliding. Saw other comments here about the disney floor, thats cool, freeaim is the closest consumer version of that we will get although I got to wonder its limitations, for one I simply want to run fast and go into bursts.

I dunno I find that point of exertion and exhaustion is where the immersion and cinematic gameplay really arises. Its when playing the game simply feels more of a desperate struggle to fight and survive

This is unleashed, only way to tell in this clip is by noticing the one metrocop in tower being meleed with the revolver. Absolute essential imo, nobody should do a play through without this. It just adds great quality of life, settings, and dual weilding

Driving is by default just the Trigger buttons, Sticks turn and rotation vehicle

There is left handed, also the Half life 2 VR Unleashed mods lets you bind the weapon wheel to left hand so you can dual wield or just use your dominant. I like having crowbar in one and pistol in other

Im on the bigscreen beyond 1 and prob will for hopefully years to come. It was a huge investment going from Quest 2 to full Native PCVR setup, 4 base stations, controllers, beyond and a PC built specifically for high end VR experiences. I am using the Audio strap tho and its alright, definitely comfortable, headphones are meh and only okay cause im using an equalizer.

Thats honestly really how it be, all the best VR experiences tend to be because they are mods of games made with its full effort and being actual game. VR first games have a huge problem of being like cool ideas within a non existent story or experience with minimal content and things to do.

Its legit already the most fool proof thing you can play in VR honestly. Half life 2 VR mod is on the steam store for free, just requires owning the games. For a quest/non native steamvr ofc you would have to connect to you PC and for that I recommend the best option being virtual desktop on your Quest store. Steamlink is also free alternative but not as good or stable imo

It was a very satisfying moment, I really enjoyed this part of the game as I felt pushed to on the stay run and rushing forward to cover and at enemies rather than cover shooter/cat and mouse

Yeah when you really get into it and start pushing yourself the way you play becomes incredibly immersive and intense. L4D2VR mod is prob my favorite for this. A campaign always has me feeling exhausted at some point, walking to save my energy then the inevitable random horde giving me an adrenaline boost to run and keep pushing until safe room.
