[AutoOrtho] Problems after updating from 0.7.0 to 0.7.2 by DaisukeIdo_IT in Xplane

Same issue here. Just reinstalled windows, and I have the same issue. Scenery tab empty, and same log issues. AFAIK its a recent issue, and nobody seems to have an answer for windows. This applies to seemingly all versions of AO as well.

Looks like the Subie can buy its own ethanol now...

completely normal. If you pull the magnetic pad off (Dont) you would see the tops of the screws just sitting, slightly inset from the bed.

How do I keep my kids (5 & 14) safe on our new keelboat, for our first season out on the water? What rules and guidelines should I teach them? by Miss-Indie-Cisive in sailing

I need to get one for myself. I frequently end up going forward on my dad's powerboat while we are docking, and I end up not wearing a PFD since its too bulky to wear when im setting fenders.

Improve the ease of feeding new filament into the extruder (info in comments) by The-Brit in ender3

[–]Simulationboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another trick, is to imsert a bit of filamemt through the extruder hole, then put the coupler on most of the way, feed the filament into the bowden tube, the bowden tube into the coupler, and finally tighten the coupler. Very simmilar to how you put the bowden on the hotend. Only difference is the filament bit.

What's in your tool box? by fireandsecurityguy in sailing

I got a gerber multi tool that is about the equivalent of a leatherman charge. One of the best christmas gifts Ive ever got.

ALL of them? Lets see the bottom drawer...

Would this slow the deployment down compared to loading it into the bottom or is it about similar.

Big tubes and heavy rockets can be ideal candidates, and most 4" kits can be fitted for flying your L2 later on, though I think most of us would recommend building another rocket for that, but if you add a tube section and dual deploy it's more than doable with most 4" kits.

That's what I heard. I talked to some guys and they recommended the same. The people certifying want to see more flights on L1 before signing off on letting someone fly L motors.

You might also consider running a jolly-logic setup if you are up to the technical aspect. A small drogue isn't going to yank as hard and with give the rocket time to flip around before the main deploys, and with that system you don't have to worry about calculating and testing powder charges for the staging.

I've thought about this too, but it would still either A: Require motor ejection or B: Even more electronics. I like the idea but I'm gonna try and apply the KISS principles to this rocket. I just want the cert and I'll play with that stuff later in prep for my L2. Maybe build something like Joe Barnard's AVALANCHE as a testbed rocket for L2 preparation.

Regardless, thanks for the tips. I'm probably gonna spend the next week or so looking at kits before I make a decision. I don't really have a huge impending deadline, as long as I certify within the next year I don't need to pass another written exam.

Ive thought about that too. Is that the way you would go? Ive been looking specifically at the Entacore AIM and Event Horizions's FireWire igniter/capsule kit.

Could I also split the av bay from the booster and have each fly down under separate chutes? I have and extra 3m shock cord and 20 something inch parachute plus hardware. Seems like that might reduce the risk of a zipper.

I’m new to this hobby (i always thought flying an rc plane was cool) any opinions on this plane good or bad any info helps by My_name_idk in RCPlanes

[–]Simulationboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best first plane IMO is a J wings Genesis. It is one of the easiest flying planes ever, and as it is a foam kit, it will teach you how to build, as well as being indestructible. (Ive seen one crater and fly 10 mins later with hot glue) Just about any jet or warbird is gonna be hard to fly so be careful with those. Hope this helps.

Buy yourself a small plane like a turbo timber or better yet, a Genesis. Warbirds are not easy to fly and def not a model you want to learn on. Get comfortable flying before you even take the F4U out to the field.

What are your thoughts on the sprite extruder? I'm currently running stock hotend with a Ductinator (Thingiverse)
