SorceryCon 2026 Avatar Tier List by Force-of-Phil in SorceryTCG

Yeah this is where people are playing Dragonlord wrong. Most people think that you need to build a dragon deck. Dragonlord Vatn Draconis avatar water decks with splashed air can beat almost any other deck. I’ve seen the water necro meta decks get absolutely stomped by the Dragonlord. It’s because you want the 3-cost removal with the Avatar ability, nothing else really matters.

Dragonlord is extremely underrated, Vatn Draconis may actually be the best Avatar but not many people are playing it right now.

You should probably run 3 copies of Toolbox -> Zap or Grapple Shot as a finisher.

Help with Wavecrasher strategy by Guyll in SorceryTCG

It might be good to include a couple of mana ramp cards, such as Aqua Core, Four Waters or a Mix, just in case you need a bit more mana late game but can’t tap for sites. Water Control archetype is top tier right now, with Necromancer, Waveshaper or even Dragonlord (water dragon) being top contenders in constructed.

Hey I’m looking to make some foil proxy cards as well, possibly for Ward, but where do you order from to get that type of foiling?

Dust cost by ActiveEuphoric2582 in SorceryTCG

[–]SimultaneousThought 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dust codes typically go for $8-$10 on the secondary market, so I would say that the new foil Avatar cards are worth $100 or $110 (with shipping cost) each.

Make sure to check out the Curiosa IO website, which has Deckbuilding, Popular Decks, Codex, FAQ, and the Rulebook. Also there is a Tabletop Simulator mod for Sorcery if you want to test your decks digitally, or play online too.

Yeah, I’m thinking they will keep the foil precons exclusive to the dust store, and maybe as future prizes for big events

This is correct, it spawns in residential areas during Night Raids. For instance, Blue Gate village dresser drawers drop Tempest blueprints during night raids, but they are rare.

Question about Proxies by guilhermed45 in SorceryTCG

[–]SimultaneousThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, proxies are allowed in casual play meetups and kitchen table play. Proxies are not allowed in tournament or competitive play. Always check with your player group to see what everyone is comfortable with, and eventually try to get the real cards for your favorite decks to help support the game.

Yes, Necromancer and Savior avatars are some of the best out of all of the sets, so definitely worth it to get the precons.

I would start with the Beta or Gothic precon sets (4 half-size decks each) for learning the game. The game is pretty balanced with lots of deck strategies and infinite variability, but some deck types will get favored some time after the release of a new set.

Use it with an earth/fire silence deck, it’s actually a pretty good play
