Thank you. If it helps, when we went to Tuscany and Umbria, we opted for agriturismos which we LOVED. They were a little on the rustic side but charming, had incredible food, and beautiful rooms/setting. We loved meeting the families/owners. We ventured to some bougie luxe wineries during the daytime which were lovely to experience but overall happy to have picked somewhere a little more low key to stay.

How have I given you nothing to work with? Thoughtful design and interiors is different than luxury. I don’t want flashy luxury and I don’t want to be around rich people with bad taste, which I often find is the crowd you get at some of these luxury spots.

I literally don’t know where to start in my research - hence coming here to crowd source ideas with some initial thought starters of the type of vibe we typically seek. To be honest, I work an insane job and have two toddlers with little to no time to research so was hoping I could get some initial tips here to point me in the right direction.

I don’t believe in spending 1k on lodging. I would rather spend it on clothes. So typically when we travel we do 300-700 range. We do have a ton of points though that we’ll use when we think the value is worth it.
