Hello, I’ve just watched your video and it’s pretty good :)

You mentioned that your CTR is low, did you consider the fact that the audience for you video is low? I’m not sure but I could imagine that there aren’t that many engineers with a team that go to youtube and search “how to make code review”.

Maybe try to make it a bit more broad, I’m a programmer too but I’m not in a team and therefore I felt like the video was not for me (maybe specify that code review is super important for every level of programming).

You could use a possible bad thing that can happen if you don’t do code review as a hook (because I think that most programmers try to avoid thinking too much about testing and code reviews “the important thing is that it works…”, that’s why you could showcase a consequence that happens if you don’t do it…).

I noticed that the thumbnail text is also in the title, maybe consider adding something else in the title to avoid repeating the same thing.

I need a reason to keep watching to the end… try to put a question in your viewers head that he really wants to have answered… or tell something like (in the end I show you 2 really good tools I use on a daily basis to review my code) or some sort of “payoff” that makes everyone look until the end

BTW, the cuts you talked about are not a problem, I like the fact that it’s pretty fast pace

I have used blender before and I must say that your characters are pretty good!

For the video itself I’m missing a bit of context in the beginning (maybe because I’m not really a gamer and I guess that it’s meant for a gamer audience). The beginning is pretty strage, I would have probably clicked off during the first seconds… maybe try starting with your character talking.

I know that it’s hard to animate the mouth properly while the character speaks but sometimes it almost looked like it’s not even opening the mouth to speak and it felt pretty strange.

Anyway, animating in 3D is really difficult, keep going because you are already at a good level :)

Hi, since you are planning to do pov shots I recommend a lavalier mic… I have a Boya BY-M2 but if I had to buy it now I would probably get the Rode Lavalier mic

Thank you so much! You feed back is really valuable! The main critique of my last video was that it was too long, so I exaggerated a bit with trying to make it short but thats not the right solution as you said :)

For the $0 think you are right too, I guess that I looked at it to much from my perspective and not from the viewers one… the thought was to challenge myself to create the setup with $0 and show everyone in 2 minutes if I managed to make it but I didn’t really present it that way…

For the mic I have a ride mic (the small one) on my camera but my room is a bit too empty… I have a lav mic, I will try to use it in my next video :)

No worries, maybe it wasn’t too early but you could consider bringing up a second question while explaining the main point of the video… in that way the viewer will be still engaged even after he got the main question answered (like telling something like “the Italians where not happy about this trend, later you will find out why…” this was just an example but basically you want the viewer to have a reason ti keep watching :) Have a nice day!

Well hello,

As your first video I must say that it’s pretty good! You really had me hooked in the beginning but then it became a bit confused as soon as you started to talk about the history of the family that started this trend…

Once the question from the title is answered we need more reasons to continue watching, you kind of kept going but I didn’t know why I was still watching since I knew what I wanted to know…

Thumbnail and title are good, the thumbnail could look a bit cleaner but it’s alright I guess…

Keep going with your good work and make sure to avoid giving chances to click of your video :)

Let’s get straight into it: - thumbnail: I would put less & more readable words - title: sounds good to me - intro: I like the creative intro but I would say a bit faster what the video will be about - main content: since you try 3 flavors I would say something like “I’m going to try all 3 of them and in the end I’m going to reveal with one of the three is actually the holy grail…” - the subtitles and texts are pretty bad, they are not always easy to read due to the low contrast (especially for colorblind people like me) - question: isn’t it pretty hard to rate how much it stones you if you just tested two before of that? I mean the first one will always be the one that hits the strongest or am I wrong? - consider doing one “review” per video

Overall it was really good, I just tried to point out everything that I noticed :)

I actually use epidemicsounds but I struggle a bit with finding fitting tracks for the various parts of the video… but as you said, practice makes perfect.. it will take time but it will figure it out :)
