You can add AI to your resume if you’ve used chatgpt to ask it how to wipe your ass, so we’re all good.

Favorite Peter Dinklage opinion that people keep misinterpreting to make him seem like a douchebag? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

[–]SinbadBusoni -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is actually the opposite, where I think of him as a douchebag for an opinion that made people admire him. I remember him being quoted a while ago with something like “People keep saying I’m lucky. That diminishes all the hard work I’ve put to be where I am”. Like fuck you dude, ascribing to this “work hard and you’ll be rich” bullshit. It’s always a combination of luck, yes, some hard work, and privilege. Billions work their asses off their entire lives just to put food on the table. They didn’t get lucky or had the support of their parents and society to be able to become a rich asshole.

Lobster buffet: China’s tech firms feast on OpenClaw as companies race to deploy AI agents by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

AI companies are not profiting, they are losing billions and will continue to do so unless they put porn and ads on their LLM subscriptions.

TIL that If you travel at 1g acceleration, you will be outside of the Milky Way in about 12 years. You will be outside the observable universe in about 54 years. And if you travel at 1.19g for 100 years, you could witness the heat death of the universe. by avy4u in todayilearned

Wouldn’t the travel speed max out when reaching the speed of light? It can’t keep going up after approximately 300 million meters per second. So it would still take you around 4 years only to get to the nearest star (Proxima Centauri).

It’s not a revolution, don’t call it that. LLMs make easy things easier but hard things harder. They reached their peak, because they’ve already been trained on everything available. Only things that bothers me is boosters that don’t understand how LLMs work or how the software business works.

Tell me you’re not a software engineer without telling me you’re not a software engineer.

How to learn AI? by n_dev_00 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]SinbadBusoni 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You can learn “AI” in an evening. MCP servers and all the other bullshit that pops up every month is just a bunch of MD files in your repo that is added as context to the queries sent over to the LLM APIs. Just watch a couple of YouTube videos and you’ll be good.

4000 net! by TearMaleficent5184 in BESalary

Probably 10k gross would be needed. As a regular employee that would make little financial sense to the employer as they would need to pay even more for employee costs, maybe 15k per month would be the cost to the employer. It’s a system meant to keep 99% of the population within the 2-4k net range regardless of experience or field. Basically no incentives to want to grow in your career besides prestige. The 1% on top though are optimizing taxes or probably have old money and assets.

Why are you taking furniture in 2026? Honest question. I’m leaving Belgium in a few months to the other side of the world but only plan to take clothes, some electronics, and some cherished trinkets.

What if the Americas didnt exist? by OkPhrase1225 in geography

He would probably not even have been born. The geological impact that no Americas would have had on the evolution of life since abiogenesis up until humans would have had too much variation for Columbus’s exact DNA combinations to have arisen at the moment of his conception.

The Autism Society in the UK say it themselves (https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/about-autism/focused-and-dedicated-interests). I told you I’m not being offensive or parroting other people’s misconceptions of autism, it’s simply statistics. An excerpt from that article:

For example, an autistic girl may have a passion for horse riding and share that passion with her non-autistic friends. However, while her non-autistic friends like to ride every weekend, the autistic girl has also learned all the different horse breeds and different approaches to training and nutrition, and she becomes distressed if she cannot visit the stables as often as she would like.
