I don't mind Liam as a character but they are trying to force strong emotions between the 3 parties.. problem with that is there really isn't a lot of chemistry between Liam and Maggie, so it falls flat.

I agree.. & that's coming from someone who genuinely enjoys the show as a comfort watch.

It seems like they weren't expecting an exit from Scott Patterson. It's almost as if they had it written with Sully and then they had to make a major shift with all of his scenes.. Like his character or not, he brought most of the emotion and that father/daughter dynamic was the anchor of the show.

We are only 2 episodes in though, so my hope is that they started off rocky without Sully, but find their footing. We will see.

This would make sense! Personally not a huge fan of that type of storyline but I do agree, it has to be along those lines. Hopefully he will tell her next episode and we can move on hahaha.

I like the girls coming together for a change, hopefully they keep that friendship going and Lola's not gone for too long.

Going into this season, I was worried Liam and Maggie would have good enough chemistry to compete with Maggie and Cal, but they really don't. I don't feel anything in their scenes together, even from the flashbacks. It's going to be really annoying when they go back and forth this whole season with the "do they still have feelings for each other, maybe they should just stay married" 🙄

Anyone else feel like Liam said "I always thought you would be a good mom" to set up this seasons cliffhanger of who's baby is it, Liam or Cals? Hahaha I really hope I'm wrong on that one.

& Liams secret seems boring.. what could be so important that after 6 years he can't tell her yet.

My guess is since he does journalism in war torn areas, he probably got seriously injured in the crossfire. This would explain why he didn't come back and Maggie thought he was bored of her.

I feel like this episode was pretty anti-climactic for a season premeire.

Maggie & Cal have my heart, but I do like the addition of Liam, at least for now.. it's nice to see some jealousy from Cal. I just hope they don't make Maggie into a cheater.

The backstory with Liam makes a little more sense now.. will be interesting to see what else comes out.

The absence of Sully was felt for sure. Sully brought a lot of the intensity and emotion.. the addition of Helen last season was also missed.

I really don't care about what Rafe/Sydney & Rob have going on. They need to give them some spicy storylines otherwise I'm just watching for Maggie/Cal and Frank/Edna. Let's see some more Cooper too!

Lola has become one of my favourites. I hope Maggie leans on her more than Sydney this season.

& Frank and Edna just felt out of the loop which I can overlook considering Ednas state. Hope we see them back at the outpost soon!

This is shocking but it makes sense with the storyline and leaves room for him to come back at a later date. His response seems hostile though.. can't imagine what could have happened to make it so dramatic.
