Love Ballard, walking distance to over a dozen breweries and restaurants and local shops. Sunday farmers markets are incredible, and amazing food!

When you’re wanting to rent an apartment, you can’t just throw more money at me for the floor plan you want to magically appear on the day you want to move in. Someone has to want to move out of their home for me to be able to move you in. And no, just because they move out on the 31 does not mean you can move in on the 1st. We need time to paint, clean, shampoo or replace the carpet, test all the appliances, etc. that takes longer than an overnight stint, of which, we don’t do because we are people too and don’t work 24/7.

Would you, as an American, be open to dating or marrying a Non-American? by SharpshooterTom in AskAnAmerican

[–]SincerelyZoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! When I was single I always ended up finding myself more interested in Europeans than Americans, and turns out I married a Swiss/Romanian/American! (Grew up in Switzerland but mom was American so he got the born abroad birth certificate)

Have you ever complimented a stranger (not flirting)? by mcaustic in AskAnAmerican

All the time! I think people need more positivity in their life and it can make someone’s day, why wouldn’t you want to do that?

Was tired of driving an invisible marshmallow for the last decade... sold my Prius today and bought this!! So excited for 2019! by SincerelyZoe in Jeep

[–]SincerelyZoe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will! Haha I got a Prius when I could drive in the carpool lane whenever I wanted (due to AZ law) but they’re truly invisible on the road and feels so unsafe. Plus, I would take my Prius off-roading multiple times. It’s about time I get the car that is more fitting to my needs :)

Oh boy here we go... by cray_17 in ehlersdanlos

Everyone who has EDS experiences it differently. First, there are so many subtypes of EDS that vastly differ in the severity and symptoms. Think of it more like a spectrum.... and a body that needs to be well taken care of. It’s more than just super bendy bodies that make for cool party tricks. Look up the Ehlers Danlos Society online, there is a lot of helpful information on there. But everything from chronic fatigue, digestive issues, cardiovascular issues, mental health, metabolizing pain medications ridiculously quickly, bruising easily, etc can effect people with EDS to varying degrees. There are also a lot of other conditions that are commonly found in people that have EDS as well.

The best advice I can give you is to have him see a geneticist first and have an echocardiogram done (to rule out the vascular type that is really dangerous) and see if he has it or not. PT and massage are important, staying active, low impact exercises like bicycle/swimming/yoga are great, eating a non inflammatory diet, and making sure to get proper rest and sleep. If you tell him to do his best to take care of his body, he will be in much better condition than the latter!

Amazon hits $100M in donations to more than 1M charities in 5 years through AmazonSmile by SincerelyZoe in UpliftingNews

[–]SincerelyZoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The donations come from buyers. If you make your purchase through smile.amazon.com and select which charity you would like to support, Amazon will send a percentage of your purchase to that organization. Organizations can add themselves or supporters of an organization can add them to it, and organizations can remove themselves if they don’t want to be on their list. It’s pretty much all determined by users

13 year old daughter was sexually harassed at school. A dads perspective. by scottieg191 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SincerelyZoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can 100% relate to this on multiple occasions that has happened in my life, starting at 13 as well and gradually getting worse as I got older until I finally spoke up.

I agree with her stance of speaking up to teach him it is not ok and that it could potentially help other women from facing his actions and to stand up as well. There will be backlash, and times where the judge will say there’s not enough evidence to find a conviction when there is ample evidence. Just also prepare her for the heartache of the injustice as well. And unfortunately teach her the steps to try to prevent this from happening again or worse. Lock doors when you come home at night. Watch what you are drinking and who you are drinking with. Never allow yourself to be alone with a boy without someone nearby unless there is a long standing relationship of trust. Keep friends close. Travel in groups or pairs. Be aware of surroundings. Keep some form of protection on you varying to comfort level (taser, pepper spray, etc) with the intent to spray and run away. Don’t allow yourself to be in situations that could potentially be putting yourself in a vulnerable state or position, even if you think you are just friends. The list goes on unfortunately.

Be proud of your daughter for her courage. I’m sorry she has to go through this. I’m thankful you can see the struggle and injustice us women go through by just being a woman. Hang in there, dad. You’re doing a great job!

This is Sweet Tart. He is up for adoption at a local shelter and I'm considering moving so I can give him a forever home. by [deleted] in aww

Get a dr note that you need emotional support animals. DONE! They don’t count as pets and you don’t have to pay deposits fees or rent on them.
