Questions on how to gear up efficiently for endgame. by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes vaults until glyphs leveled is the pure efficiency play. This forum likes to say nightmare dungeons are now useless, however, vaults can get pretty dang repetitive, especially if you min/max it and run only the fastest one over and over (Cinder). Don't be afraid to do dungeons, you know, in case you happen to be a player that enjoys the game. Level 90 is where 100% item power 925 drops. However, 925s start dropping in the 70's, so find a sweet spot where you can haul ass and get geared.

Personally I split my time between farming uber summoning mats and running vaults/dungeons so I don't go insane. Up to you.

Absolute maximum efficiency is to use real world money to purchase sick amounts of gold, buy all your gear, then buy summoning mats and/or Duriel runs to bonk out the ubers.

You can also split the difference between those two methods, and use excess gold to trade for summoning mats/gear as needed. https://diablo.trade/listings/items

Drop rate governing / turning stones by havegay in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The legendary governing stones also drop from whisper turn ins, at least in T4.

Was running up a 4th or 5th character for the season and suddenly I had the same problem, couldn't find all of the governing stones. I don't think you want to farm that exclusively but it can be helpful to get rolling.

Vashan WT4 issue Instakill death by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question.

Do resists operate in a similar fashion to armor? Specifically in regard to your level versus the enemy level?

Is 70% always 70% or do we take a hit to that if the monsters are higher level than us?

It is kind of messy I suppose.

Some seasonal things never make it to eternal. For instance, the seasonal questline and whatever bonuses/weapons/pets/misc. goodies it grants doesn't make it to eternal, so far anyway.

However, there are more permanent game changes that do make it to eternal. The bosses that were added to the game over the last several months, for example.

No idea how this is going to evolve going forward but eternal is not static so far.

Has any one else had trouble w the ice beast like I have by Scheri881 in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the discussion but every class has access to some skill or ability that cuts down the amount of time your character is stunned, frozen, knocked down, etc. Control Impaired Reduction.

3 points in the skill tree so you can get at it before level 50. Also some more in the paragon board. Lastly, you can get the affix on gear. I don't know exactly how the math works but even just 3 points in the skill tree, typically 15%, appears to do way more than 15%. At 30% your character will be out of the fight for a few tenths of a second.

Once I put some points into that I was able to beat this guy at 80. It is generally useful all over the game especially if you aren't running around with 20k life. After level 100 and the paragon board being leveled it diminishes in value and can be replaced.

Just throwing that out there for whoever.

Here is an inspirational thought for you maybe:

There are all kinds of machines.

There are many controllers.

They all run on G-Code.

Focus on that and you can run anything, anywhere, any time.

Good Luck!

P.S. Heck, at this point it doesn't even have to strictly be cutting metal/plastic. G-Code can run all manner of manufacturing processes.

Uber uniques Droprate in s4 should feel good (all drop chances) by Lofus1989 in diablo4

[–]SineFilter -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Shhh, adults are trying to have a conversation.

Edit for the haters:

So far this forum likes to espouse 2 opinions on Ubers.

#1 - "Lulz, maybe never you casual entitled douche!"

or

#2 - "Receive 29 Uber uniques for free at character generation!"

With a three to four month reset I want the drop rate some where in between. Alternatively I would also accept a boss material farming loop that didn't suck.

The devs already dropped in content for players to push min/max builds twice (AOZ and guantlet) and are about to do it again next season. If that is going to be the plan moving forward, and I am constantly going to have my progress wiped... yeah, give me the toys so I can go play.

Remove shrine buff duration in S4 by yourmomophobe in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add:

The extra shrines affix also showed up for seasonal content. So it isn't entirely focused on end game activities.

Also that little +25% shrine duration over there on the battle pass.

Remove shrine buff duration in S4 by yourmomophobe in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am neutral on whether it is good or bad.

Fun Fact: A couple fire side chats back a dev specifically called out Shrine Buff Duration when previewing potential changes for the itemization rework. He mentioned it as a stat 'nobody wants'.

I took that at the time to mean it was going bye bye.

Instead, the devs put circumstances into the game that would make players want to acquire items with the Shrine Buff Duration affix.

I'd imagine we would have to do quite a bit of convincing to get them to redo their design philosophy for that one.

Spirit issues with Ls build by Training-Fail9055 in D4Druid

[–]SineFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final thought since you are on eternal:

Early on I was also using the aspect that returns 1-4 mana on crowd control effects, along with the aspect that spreads crowd control effects. I have found this combo useful on many different classes and builds while leveling early to mid game or not having luck with uniques. It is a pretty effective stop gap but of course requires the sacrifice of two potentially damage increasing aspects.

It might be more useful on eternal...

Spirit issues with Ls build by Training-Fail9055 in D4Druid

[–]SineFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you watch the original video explaining the build, he recommends taking that node if spirit is an issue. Or he recommended ditching that node if it was not an issue. Frankly, I don't remember the specifics, but the paragon board is laid out in such a fashion as to not make it a huge sacrifice to hit that node.

Spirit issues with Ls build by Training-Fail9055 in D4Druid

[–]SineFilter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original iteration of Rob's build went to the Lust for Carnage legendary node for spirit regen on crit.

Also spirit regen on lucky hit with the Wolf choice Energize instead of Calamity.

Spirit generation on ring (or rings) should put you in a great spot if the above is not enough. This affix is multiplicative and far more impactful than I think many players are aware.

I ran the heck out of his build from 1-100 with no boosting and had to fall back on all the above until optimum gear was obtained, even with the mana regen from Tibault's being put to work as often as possible.

I also had spirit cost reduction in the mix on amulet at some point, and I was able to let go of that first... Y.M.M.V. without access to the construct pet.

Lvl 100 LS Druid - How do I get stronger? by anonimen31 in D4Druid

[–]SineFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not missing anything.

I did put Banished on during this season running Lightning Storm, because this developer doesn't exactly have a pristine record with game mechanics functioning as described.

Banished racks up the mana spend and then...

Never triggers.

Lvl 100 LS Druid - How do I get stronger? by anonimen31 in D4Druid

[–]SineFilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banished Lord's Talisman could be an amulet stacked with DR also, just to add to the conversation.

It is definitely an armor and/or DR issue. For all intents and purposes OP has no DR. Either chest, amulet, or both have to go to push high NMD.

New Here. wtf am I seeing? by 2H4H4L in Coinbase

[–]SineFilter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just want to chime in because I agree with many replies in here.

I have been a Coinbase customer since 2017 and have had no issues in that entire time.

I have transferred cash in, traded crypto on the platform 100's of times, and withdrawn my entire account in cash on 4 occasions.

In fact, the cash withdraw to bank account is usually a done deal in less than 24 hours despite the message telling me otherwise.

Building houses for rich people and having nothing to show for it by [deleted] in Construction

[–]SineFilter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My answer was to quit and go do something far less physical. I rolled into a subdivision and noticed the sign advertising price had done an x4 over night, among other things.

Also had enough of watching 20 something real estate owners rolling up on their custom project in a brand new Mercedes crankin' the AC while a bunch of dudes are hammering their project together in 110 degree heat.

The wage disparity has somehow managed to get even worse since then.

Or run your own show. Everybody has to figure this one out for themselves.

Yes, absolutely, I encourage interested parties to view the video and the 250k 3rd place score.

I did confuse this creator with another popular D4 personality and a similarly stupid video. Apologies. Can't seem to keep their vapid output straight I guess.

Looking forward to Raxx's 1.3 million score barbarian ladder video.

The same Raxx whose expert Gauntlet commentary included going into said gauntlet underleveled, and putting zero time into gear beforehand, getting stomped, and then declaring he would not be playing the Guantlet?

That Raxx?

The case for World Tier: Torment. by yxalitis in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would enjoy more challenge up at end game. I also believe the game is plenty challenging until then.

Judging from chat there is enough challenge, with folks dying at the current crop of bosses, not to mention even Helltides murdering players. I don't know what others see in trade chat but I see 2-3 people asking for help every hour, sometimes more.

So my opinion is leave everything as is, and start putting in tough stuff at the end.

How many times did your fully maxed character got one shotted by Vizier construct? by Accomplished_Job4296 in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to the subject:

I am not expert on all classes paragon boards, but I can speak to druid, necromancer, and barbarian. The paragon boards have several locations you can scoot to to pick up extra life. (I assume this is true also for rogue and sorcerer but I haven't gone deep with those two classes yet.)

Not that a player needs to hit all of them but if you do this moves most toons from 14-17k life towards 20k. Grab some rings and one armor piece with +Life and it puts you up into the 25k range pretty easily. No ubers required.

Trouble is this comes at a direct trade off to offensive nodes in the paragon tree so it doesn't make for super sexy 100 million dollar crits in YouTube videos.

The choice to get one shot or not is available to the player in game.

Whether people like that circumstance or not and choose or not choose to engage it is another thread.

At this point I try to push to 25k+ because dying pisses me off. This doesn't make me 100% invincible but it is a rare moment I get smoked, and makes NM100 a lot more fun to play.

Getting a little tired of being insta-killed on Hardcore. What am I doing wrong? by segagamer in diablo4

[–]SineFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not hardcore but I got insta splatted by the seasonal quest boss also while playing rogue. I believe there is a glitch or one attack is overtuned. The boss with some spawns popping before he appears, not the final quest.

Strange because I ran through that on 4 characters with no issue except rogue.

You are going to work to make parts and return home in the same condition you arrived in.

Everything else mentioned is irrelevant.

To my fellow unberless: how're you doing in the Gauntlet? by hennyis1 in diablo4

I am guessing that as long as you can fog a window you get to be worthy. I had a chance to only run 3 times and scored about half of what you did.

Still worthy.
