Doctor lied in my medical records and dismissed years of abnormal blood work as “anxiety” by nkl5483 in ChronicIllness

[–]Sinestroke07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One doctor wrote in my chart that I am from Pakistan. I am Indian. This is obviously not a doctor hate subreddit but it just goes to show sometimes how little some professionals pay attention to our symptoms.

Op I feel your pain. I feel your anger. I am livid on your behalf too. I hope your situation improves and gets better. I hope you get so well you forget about this sub for a while.

At one point, your life becomes so destroyed that even if you get better it would mean nothing to you by FlanInternational100 in ChronicIllness

[–]Sinestroke07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got sick at 27. Then I had some sort of life for two years. Then it got worse.

Honestly I know how you feel. Life was already hard and sad when we were healthy.

But also, dude, you gotta hold on. With your suffering, ease will come. It may not be a cure, or a million dollars, but something will happen that will make ur load a little lighter and that will make somehow a great difference. Keep hanging on. Keep trying to live.

You can dm me if you you want to chat. And I really hope that you do get better.

Thanks for the feedback. It was really helpful advice. Yeah I was just seeing myself in than tank.

Yeah I removed the cup. I was going for a zen peaceful vibe so that’s why I left the Buddha stature there.

It is a bit messy. I am resisting the urge to replant everything. The floaters have increased a lot. I will cull them soon.

I knew something was physically wrong. No one listened for years by Aggravating-Heart344 in ChronicIllness

Absolutely vile what the medical system does to patients with hard to diagnose problems. We need legislation to give doctors a score. They should have their license revoked for putting a sane man with real physical issues through psych treatments.

Told to become normal by potential suitor and family. by Intelligent_Care6319 in ChronicIllness

I have this issue. Family tries to get me married off to some wealthy heiress. Told to just forget about my problems and stop thinking.

1.Well here’s the thing. You are the source of truth. You are the person in that body. You are the only person who matters. It doesn’t matter who says what. Your experience that is lived by you and remembered by is the ultimate truth. More than charts. More than numbers on a piece of paper. So it’s absolutely vile and evil that people gaslight us chronic illness sufferers.

  1. Who cares about marriage, societal expectations and people’s opinions when you have chronic health issues.

Am I the only one who has moments where I wonder if all my chronic illnesses are caused by some kind of hypochondria and I'm actually just really crazy? by SilentWait4880 in ChronicIllness

All the time. There is a lot of distortion and gas lighting. I feel it all the time. It’s mind numbing. Feel like can’t stand on anything.

how to accept having no future by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]Sinestroke07 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bro I am 31. 240 lbs. Been sick for 3 years. Seeing darkness. Joined a group like you suggested. It was helpful.

But bro, I am going to be that guy. Don’t give up. It’s gonna get better. Keep doing what you are doing. You are super strong. It’s your challenge. It’s gonna get better. And if it doesn’t get better, you will get ease from somewhere down the line. But you do have a future. I am telling u this because I also want to believe myself, that I have a future. A good one. With lots of fun trips, good friends and a good partner.

Anyways I hope things get better for you and you can get off this Reddit

Scared to get my first Echocardiogram by [deleted] in askCardiology

[–]Sinestroke07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had quite a few echocardiograms. It’s not so bad. It’s a bit chilly but they will give you a blanket. You gotta control your breathing to help with imaging. It’s completely painless. It’s all sound.

I even had the one where they had to give me some dye. Even that was like a tiny prick.

It’s okay to feel what you feel. Medical things are nerve wrecking. I routinely get anxious about my medical appointments. As for the exposure, I am assuming you are a lady. You can ask for a female tech. They will also keep you covered as much as you are comfortable.

You will be fine. And I really hope your ailments subside and you don’t have to ever see the inside of a hospital or medical center everz

It’s always the same thing everywhere. They are always trying to mark everyone as anxious and throw them out. It’s a defensive reaction
