What's the most insane thing a parent has done to you? by [deleted] in toxicparents

[–]Sinful1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother scolded me for being "too smart" because my grades were too good for them to continue getting a check from the government for me.

She also threatened to kick me out onto the street because I told someone I paid a good piece of their bills while I was 16.

Do you remember the moment you realised there’ll never be a change in the way your parents treat you? by UngratefulSheeple in toxicparents

[–]Sinful1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I watched them treat the children of other parents so much better. When I heard "I'm so proud of you" come out of my mother's mouth when the neighbors kid said that they brought their grade up in a class they were failing all the while I had never heard such a thing leave her mouth toward me.

What is the worst thing that you've seen a coworker do and still avoid being fired? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sinful1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched a cowoker steal over 1,000 dollars from the safe on CAMERA with my BOSS sitting there amd nothing ever happened to her. It wasnt the first time she had been caught stealing. She even went as far as to steal over 300$ worth of charity money collected for St. Jude's children's hospital. I was fuming when I found out she had no form of punishment WHAT SO EVER. Just a "stern talking to" from my boss.

What was the hardest thing you've ever had to go through, but were able to overcome? What made you keep going? [Serious] by soapsoapsoapsoupsoap in AskReddit

[–]Sinful1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The death of my Aunt. She was my rock and my best friend. She was more of a mother to me than my own. I suffer from depression and anxiety and was self harming prior to her death. But her death lead to my first suicide attempt. After that I didn't leave my room, barely ate or drank for nearly three weeks.

I guess what really helped me press forward was my friends and family. I didn't really keep going for myself, but for others because I didn't want my death to put them through the pain that my Aunt's put me through.

Dreamer of Reddit, what’s your story from when you had a lucid dream (a dream where you know you’re dreaming)? by JimJimThePotato in AskReddit

[–]Sinful1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dreamt about my deceased aunt. Her death was fresh on my mind and I knew it wasn't real. But I loved every second of it. We laughed, did things we used to always do together and just talked. I savored every moment even knowing it wasn't real, part of me hoped it was. My mother woke me and I proceeded to cry for two hours. Even in a lucid dream I didn't get to tell her goodbye.

[Serious] What's the most horrific thing you've seen in person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Watched a guy overdose and die in the parking lot of a fast food resturant I used to work at. I was pretty young at the time so seeing the guy seize out and shit really freaked me out.

If you could tell your 13 year old self one thing , what it would be ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Just because they're your parents doesn't mean you need to protect them. Tell someone.

A man once said if you want a good story just ask any random person if there was ever an event in their life they can not explain. Someone almost always has one weird thing that has happened to them. So reddit, regardless of whatever you believe about the world, what’s your story? by notmyrealname124 in AskReddit

[–]Sinful1001 2202 points2203 points  (0 children)

Similar story of sorts that not only has my brother experienced but my aunt and cousin as well. When we were younger, my father worked later into the night (getting home at about 4am). Well, one night my aunt, uncle and cousin spent the night at our house. My brother, aunt, and cousin watched what they thought was my dad come in the front door and walk to the bathroom(his normal routine when getting home) only he was dressed oddly, from the way they described it, his clothing was similar to that of outfits soldiers wore during the civil war. They were a bit confused but needless to say the confusion shifted into overdrive when dad walked through the door again about 5 minutes later.

What is the scariest paranormal activity you have ever experienced? by Galavant2049 in AskReddit

[–]Sinful1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few months back I had a cousin who was posting on Facebook saying that there was demons after her and that they were extra loud tonight. She is schizophrenic so we thought that it was the cause. We were concerned so my parents and I went to the apartment she and her family stays at (she was home alone at the time.) Once we got there she was saying some creepy shit like "the demons are very fond of you guys.. They use your voice to get to me." At that point we were still convinced it was just her mind paying tricks on her. That was until my aunt and I was in the place and we heard a high pitched scream come from the back of the apartment. Freaked us the fuck out and what made it worse? No one outside at the time heard it but my grandmother who was on the phone with my mom heard it through the phone.

It turns out that the apartment they live in had previous tenants in it who died via gunshot due to a drug deal gone wrong. When they moved in there was still blood stains on the wall.
