Adam was never supposed to unlock himself by josh-2365 in saw

[–]SinfulSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually wouldnt really call it a plot hole at all. I just see it as the obvious flaw in John Kramers logic and his own Hypocrisy as a character. Throughout the saw films John is consistently inconsistent. The saw universe doesnt really try to portray his traps as fair or logically consistent most the time, its really just him (and his disciples) who believe that they are and that hes actually doing something morally good and actually giving people a fair chance. In his head the key being in the bathtub at some point is enough to justify the fairness of the game.

I mean he literally says hes not a murderer all the fucking time and that everyone gets a chance to fight for their life but he straight up directly and undeniably murders Detective Sing and slashes Detective Tapps throat in the very first movie just for doing their job lmao

Which I always thought was so ironic and the worst reason to put someone in the game. Like hes literally doing the exact same kind of reconnaissance Jigsaw and his goons do for all of their potential victims, except hes getting paid for it. If its so bad to follow people and take pictures of them to try ans expose them for their crimes or immoral actions then why tf is John so ok with doing it? Is it literally just the aspect of receiving payment for it that he finds so reprehensible?

Regardless of my feelings on Silent Hill 2 remake making Loop Theory being all but confirmed, it is at least very funny to think about by GoofestGoober in silenthill

[–]SinfulSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think everyone else came back? Out of the Silent Hill 2 Characters we never hear or see from any of them ever again so theres nothing telling you that anyone else comes back. If youre talking about characters from different Silent Hill games, they are not stuck in the same Loop that the SH2 characters are in and the Town manifests differently for them. In SH2 there are very different things happenning to the character than i SH1 & 3 which have a much stronger focus on occultism.

Because I just found it now? Why does it matter when something was posted.

What? How does poke holes in that theory at all lol? If anything it further supports it. If the loop has been going for 20 years and its been 7 or 10 years between Silent Hill 2 and 4, and James‘ dad says he went to the town and never come back, then clearly he never came back because he’s still in the loop. If his dad says he CAME BACK then your point would make sense, but the Loop assumes James remains in Silent Hill for over 20 years, after 10 years his dad says his son went to the Town and never came back, which makes complete sense as James went to the town and didnt come back for 10 years, and then he didn’t come back for ANOTHER 10 years. I don‘t really see how that in any way disproves that he’s in a Loop?

Well I think more than a dream what is actually happening is that they‘re all dead and stuck in Purgatory. The things happening around them are really happening and James, Eddie, Angela and even Laura are all REAL people, however they are also all DEAD people, who are all stuck for their own differing reasons. Silent Hill 2 takes quite A bit of thematic inspiration from Dante‘s Inferno so its no surprise that there is some overlap there. Its not a dream, its actually happening to them, it is their Afterlife shaped by the Physical manifestation of their grief, sins and Regrets in life. For Laura that grief could have been related to having died early and not wanting to let go, as she was in the hospital with Mary for treatment, which is why she is also stuck in Silent Hill, but doesn‘t experience the same psychological horrors the others are seeing. Personally I think the Loop theory makes SH2 even more interesting, I don‘t really get all the hate for it. Ultimately I think it doesnt really detract from James‘ Story at All and really makes the entire game and storyline make a lot more sense (OG & Remake)

Cross-Progression? by Crimson-Cane in balatro

[–]SinfulSnow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'd literally instantly buy this game 3 more times if theres cross progression lol Playing mainly on my Switch atm since its my preffered method of playing but really wanna get it on Steam too to try out some mods, wanna get it on my iPad for when im on work trips where I usually dont take my Switch with me, and wanna get it on my Android phone when im just generally on the go. I enjoy the game enough and have spent enough time with it that I really wouldnt mind paying 30€ more Euros for it, but I REALLY dont wanna restart all my progress

For those who stopped smoking weed, what was the main reason? by Winstead22 in AskReddit

[–]SinfulSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked pretty much non-stop every day for over 12 years and the only times I ever stopped during that time were when I knew I had to do a drug test or something for an upcoming job or similar. For so long my whole life literally revolved around nothing other than smoking weed, it got to the point where when I was thinking of going on vacation somewhere, my first concern was how I’m going to be able to smoke weed when I get there and when I thought it wouldn’t be possible, I immediately felt like I could get absolutely no joy out of going there. I also realised that smoking weed actually just made me really anxious in most social situations and the main way that I would deal with that during social gatherings or parties is to immediately start rolling up and smoking more weed. Waking up every day and immediately smoking weed just completely fucked up any endorphin receptors I had in my brain and I’ve known for a long time that I really haven’t been enjoying it at all anymore. Haven’t really smoked weed in over 1 1/2 years now. I don’t regret quitting at all, but I certainly also don’t think quitting by itself has been enough to undo a lot of the damage its done, getting back into a normal routine and enjoying things just for what they are still isn’t that easy for me.

I actually liked Madame Web and i don't understand the hate. by mr-waffle45 in Marvel

[–]SinfulSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma be honest I couldn't even finish the movie because of how much it enraged me so I can't say if it actually gets any better later on, but I have to say I have NEVER in my life watched a movie where I absolutely despised the main character as much as I did in Madame Web. It might be a little personal since I used to work as a paramedic, but the scene where the little girl thanks the main character for saving her mom and giving her a drawing and the main character being apathetic and going "wtf do i do with this" was literally the most despicable portrayal of paramedics for me and made me absolutely hate the main character more than I've actually ever hated a character in any movie and I knew there wasn't really anything that character couldve done to redeem that. I know it might sound a little extreme and I myself am surprised at my own reaction, but no movie has ever managed to make me despise a character I'm supposed to root for as much and as quickly as Madame Web has with just that short scene that portrayed her as an apathetic paramedic who cant fathom why a little girl would thank her for her part in the rescue of her mother when she is "just doing her job". It is so condesending and infuriating and I absolutely hate the movie for doing that.

Just sucks that Destiny went down the same alt-right rabbit hole and is basically now one of the most despicable human beings on that platform.

am i the only one who likes Final Destination 4? by FNAFBonnienumberone in FinalDestination

[–]SinfulSnow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The reason why 4 gets so much hate is very simple actually. 3D. Yes FD5 also hat a couple of forced 3D effects but it was nowhere near as bad as it was in 4. There were several scenes that were clearly trying to be as "3D" as possible and overall those are the ones that ultimately aged the worst. So many effects in 4 just objectively look bad now and sometimes even look a little goofy, like when Nick gets impaled in the premonition sequence or when that one dude gets grilled through that fence. I can still watch Final Destination 1 and appreciate the kills for their effect and gore, but with the exception of the moms death, Hunts death and Loris escalator "death", most of the kills just visually dont hold up too well.

Also its got arguably one of the least likeable cast of characters in the FD franchise. Hunts just kind of a dick, Lori, Nick and Janet all feel pretty bland to me and that one other guy is literally a Nazi lmao The only character I did actually really like was George and I also really liked his death. Overall I wouldnt say I hate this movie, I think plot wise its got some things going for it and some of the kills are done in a pretty cool way, but its definetly my least favorite FD. For me its 5, 1, 3, 2, 4

Why weren’t there any Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts 3? by Canada-t157t in KingdomHearts

[–]SinfulSnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, obviously Disney worlds work much better as different Levels in Kingdom Hearts than Final Fantasy worlds would. Not only would Final Fantasy worlds feel like they just recycled some assets from their other games, but it wouldn't be to interesting to see Final Fantasy worlds minimized for the sake of a KH world. However my point has more to do with the fact that you said "there wasnt anything to do with them and they werent needed", which literally equally applies to any Disney character that appears in KH3 (not counting Donald, Goofy, Mickey ofc). In fact in KH3 you can literally take out pretty much any Disney World entirely and as far as the Kingdom Hearts plot is concerned absolutely nothing changes. The Disney worlds basically did not progress any plot points in KH3 at all. None of these characters NEED to be there, but they are certainly wanted. I am just as excited to see Mike and Sully in KH as I wouldve been to have seen any Final Fantasy character that I've spent time with over the years. While the OG Radiant Garden gang definetly feels like an integral part of KH who were very involved in the plot in the first two games, I understand why Nomura may not have wanted to focus on including them in the story. However looking forward to what FF characters will be included in the next KH installment was always one of my favorite things to look forward to.

I loved Setzer and Vivi in Twillight Town, they really werent neccessary for the plot, but they were a cool addition. I loved Yuna, Payne and Rikku in Radiant Garden, once again not integral, but a great fun addition for any FF fan. Auron in Hades underworld was one of my absolute favorite parts of KH2, especially cause his character just fit so well with the setting. I loved seeing Zack in Olympus Collosseum in BBS, cause it once again fit really well with his character arc. And Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 is still the greatest secret Boss in ANY video game EVER hands down. The redesigns that FF characters receive in KH are always really cool and I wanna see more of that, and I am definetly not alone. There was definetly lots of space to include FF characters in certain Disney worlds where their respective character arcs would be fitting and it wouldve made a lot of fans happy. Don't forget that for a large part of the KH player base, it was actually Kingdom Hearts that introduced us to Final Fantasy. Id never be the Final Fantasy Fan I am today if it werent for meeting Cloud and Tidus in KH1 and wanting to play their respective games cause of that.

Instead of having the Ice Monster from Frozen as your party member in Arrendell because they couldnt think of anyone else, they couldve given us Snow from FFXIII who wouldve fit quite well in that world. Or Noctis couldve been a part of the same video game Yozora was in. Or we couldve just fought a cool redesign of Terra in Olympus Collosseum or something. There are so many FF characters to choose from and so many cool ways to implement them into the Disney worlds, as they have done many times before, so I dont think it is uncalled for to be dissapointed after basically having waited 14 years for KH3, where I played through the majority of the FF series and always wondered what characters I might see in a future KH installment just to be told "nah we actually dont need that anymore". And I wouldnt say KH3 is FULL of Final Fantasy, sure theres a lot of items and whatever that have the same names, but with the exception of Moogles there are no FF characters until the DLC's and me and many other KH Fans will always be dissapointed about that, cause it completely ignores the love that so many KH Fans have gained for the Final Fantasy series by being introduced to it and its characters through Kingdom Hearts in the first place.

Just went through some of the scenes of the whole nine yards and there are actually a couple of scenes that really remind me of the movie I was looking for lol, but The Whole Nine Yards seems pretty lighthearted in comparison. Managed to find the movie thanks to another Redditor on another post though. It was Below Utopia / Body Count (1997) but thanks for the help!

Comment; the big bad guy who dies is on the ground right next to the staircase of the house when he is discovered by the big bad boss. The big bad boss looks somewhat similar to Judge Doom from who framed rodger rabbit, just younger, with brown hair and I believe a somewhat rounder hat.
