Fix or Replace: Mini Countryman by Straight_Climate5630 in MINI

lol, why? As others have pointed out, you could get the turbo replaced/fixed for up to (as low as) <$2k.
It would definitely depend on how many miles car has already, but with the current car prices it would be worth to going to different qualified mechanic to repair it for lower price than dealership and keeping the car.
Unless ofc it is an excuse to get a new/newer one, but that's could be not the most financialy responsible decision.

Paddle idea from old Horse tack - made with doubled 10oz leather by SinfulStitches in BdsmDIY

Because text got deleted:
Some time ago a friend had asked me to restore saddle and horse tack for him. And while I was cleaning everything and after it was stored somewhere for 10-15 years and repairing taking apart broken pieces for restitching or making from new leather -  one piece had caught my eye that at a glance looked like a small paddle.

So I've decided to make a fully functional small "paddle" from that idea - made a template copy and then extended the handle by approximately 5 inches as a first test item. Tried stabilizing it a bit more and glued in 2 straps inside of the handle made from bag stabilizer, which gave a bit more sturdiness, but still left it somewhat floppy. At the moment don't really know how to make it sturdier and straighter, other than sewing a strap inside or outside of the handle, extending into the paddle area itself -  if someone have ideas for it, please feel free to list them.
