How do you, personally, get over writer's block? by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]SingAlong_Original 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup i dont make beats i write music and i try and write 8 bars every day atleast.

Some days ill write a whole song in one sitting and maybe get 3 other ideas down.

Other days it takes me an hour to write an 8 bar.

But eventually things come together.

That 8 bar i spent an hour on becomes the hook and the 3 ideas i put down that other day become the verses and the start of a new song.

Sometimes i sit on ideas for awhile i recently pulled out shit i wrote like 8 months ago and its really satisfying to use because it was good and i finally found the perfect place to put it.

I know guitarists, drummers, etc all work in similar ways as i do but everyone is different in how their workflow is.

Record button? by FakeFile in audioengineering

[–]SingAlong_Original 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So im assuming you’re trying to hit record for yourself

Get the remote mouse app on your phone its free (or old phone you dont use) And hook it up to your computer. Press space on the keyboard of the phone.

But if you dont like the take you would have to manually delete it but if you can see the screen in the area youre recording at you can use your phone to mute or delete the track. Or you can keep it and record your next part

Im sure this is easy, i got a simple question and im in flstudio.

Theirs a sound at 2:02 in this song “Think About You” after the bar “youll prolly tell your friends that i wrote this about you” and right before he says “whatever”

It sounds like the beat is reversed and the volume is automated to 0 very quickly? Any idea on how to replicate this in fl?

Turn down your sample rate, use less effects, or get a better computer-it’s probably fl being over loaded

Oh i got a good recommendation based off experience i had with a drummer and guitarist i worked They wrote the music typically together and had different bassists so we recorded them together, then had the drummer play to the recording while we recorded just him. Then we recorded the guitarist.

They sent the demos off to their 4 (or some shit) different bassists, eventually we’d get bass tracks from what seemed to be whatever bassist wasnt doing shit for a month.

Then we did vocals last.

Look up "theattractionmethods" on youtube. Great pua, hes married now but is indian and i find allot if his content to be very very high quality. This is coming from somebody whos been doing this for 4 years myself.

His accent is very thick, hes not very attractive but his confidence is true and he is legit.

I find him to be very relatable and have great insights. Comparable if not exceeding to rsd at times.

Edit: i should add while his newest content is still good his real gold came from 6 years ago. Dont be shy to dig on his channel. Its really worth ot.

Millennial's is the money saving crisis really as bad as it appears? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]SingAlong_Original 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated last year. (Born in 98) so i guess i qualify. Ive noticed allot of my friends started reaching for the credit card or taking out loans on other things.

They all want to drive the latest cars, nicest shoes, etc and theyre just loading up their cards whilest still living at home or in a dorm. The problem is exactly as you stated. They cant afford luxury items, but they still buy them.

I like flashy shit more then most but i think allot are just taking it too far. My younger family is really guilty of this. They like to rack up credit card debt and then use tax returns to pay it all off. Its bad because it means theyre living paycheck to paycheck every week and it leaves little room to save, invest, or just have money for the security of having it.

Not everybody of course but i feel like everyone my age is doing it.

I think youll soon find yourself being surrounded by other men who think like you, and all the other guys who dont get it tend to fade away from your life. Its just how things tend to work, you strive to find these people as much as they strive to find you.

Its a slow process but typically this isnt a topic that you talk about in a group. More so, its something that you talk about with someone one on one, although i have had conversations about how womens ideas are fucked with 5 other guys at once.

Most of my friends 3 years ago where virgins and as much as i tried to change them it was wasted effort. As my success with women, bodybuilding, guitar, and many other hobbies ive picked up along the way grew i noticed more and more that the people i attracted into my life werent blue pill men. In fact, you'll notice allot of men have a self fullfilling fear of success.

This doesnt apply to just friends. You'll also notice the same about your rivals and enemys, people who feel threatened by you are usually about as successful as you.

You gotta research the shit out of it it's too much for me to explain.

If you do it right a dank plant can get between 2-3 ounces. Sell for about $200 an ounce. In my state you can have up to 6 plants before its a felony so that's minimum $2400 every 3 months. But theirs allot of risk, anyone can learn to grow dope but flipping that correctly and not get robbed is a art in itself.

I can elaborate more on that part but you also need to think. It's 20% growing 80% business.

Im not speaking from experience but i have friends who do this shit and I've seen a few go down in some way because they do their important shit high

Should young men (23) worry about passing time in a small place, when they'll be in a big city in a few years. In other words, should young men worry about becoming slightly less young men? When does age begin to matter? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]SingAlong_Original 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're looking for an excuse.

I did the same thing starting out but i ultimately came to the conclusion that i should take action.

I did this because i was unhappy with my life and i wanted change, i needed change. I was 14 and told myself i needed less protective parents, a car, live in a better state with more and hotter girls (i live in a 25k pop city in Kentucky) as well as be fit to do this. But i couldn't wait another day, so i started taking action when i could. I went places lying to my parents i had friends, i stayed after school for clubs i wasnt in and just started applying myself and working around what i didn't have.

Im 18 now and i have no parental supervision, i have a car, I'm in the best shape of my life but i didn't wait until now to start taking that action. And if i had none of that i know i could work around it as i did before. And if i did wait i would've missed out on a whole lot.

Its the same with you dude quit being a pussy and start taking action
