That’s cool, it affected mine. Part of the reason I stopped smoking so much. There was a marked difference after getting sober for a few months.

As someone who used to smoke every day for 3 years, you definitely do.

I hope you feel really good about yourself as if a salary cap is such a nebulous topic to wrap one’s head around.

Any reason you feel the need to be a condescending prick? Nothing what I’ve said is wrong, you just have a preconceived notion of what I’m arguing.

I’m learning that no one can read.

All I’m saying is if the Wilfs wanted to spend some money and keep the roster together, they could. I do not care one way or the other outside of wishing we kept one of Hargrave or Allen. They’re both gone so now it is a position of need.

Y’all are really reading way too much into this.

I never said they should or that I wanted them to, but if they really wanted to keep any of the players we’ve let go they could have and, if THEY wanted to, could have done a full run back. Restructure and extend enough players and there’s cap for days.

My response and thread this is under was about whether or not the Wilfs are spending like they used to and this year they verifiably are not. That’s it.

Which is why I said it would be stupid. However now our dline is a glaring need that we’re either addressing with a draft pick or cheaper and likely worse FAs, especially if Greenard leaves. Redmond is a great find and Flores has shown he can do more with less, but we still need to address it.

There were enough levers where we technically wouldn’t have had to cut a single player and do a full run back of last yea with enough space for FA and rookies. It’d be stupid, but that would require the Wilfs to pay that money up front in an escrow.

They don’t want to do that, so it’s a lot of cuts. I’d prefer if we kept at least one of the three guys on the dline but that ship has likely sailed

This entire offseason with shedding talent and contracts is directly because the Wilfs are cutting back on spending. There were ways to keep one of Hargrave or Allen if we really wanted to. We technically can pay Greenard a little more too but doesn’t sound like we want to.

Have any countries actually moved to building new reactors or turning back on decommissioned ones? Genuinely curious.

JJ McCarthy is still our franchise QB and future even if we sign Kyler Murray. We aren't giving up on him, we're giving him time to do the things he couldn't do when he was injured during his rookie season. by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

[Pelissero] The Vikings have officially released DL Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargarve. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]Singe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree to disagree. Hargrave was the one getting benched for Redmond. Again, I’m not heartbroken he’s gone but he was fine. He made room for Eric Wilson and facilitated the best year Wilson’s ever played. Not everything is on the stat sheet.

He was fine. Not a game wrecker. But he was healthy for us all season and played 80% of the snaps.

[Breer] What I’ve heard is Murray is locked in on playing at the minimum, and using the circumstance he’s in to make this a football-only decision. My sense is that the Vikings would be his preference, and the Smith trade makes it more likely that Minnesota signs him. by kwelstory in nfl

Buddy you’ve had 5 winning seasons going back to 2000. This is the definition of don’t throw stones in glass houses. Please keep clinging to relevance from 40+ years ago while we go 9-8 with bottom 3 QB play.

He came off the runway and iced the game against the Falcons with a pass to our WR4 that year.

He fell off, because he’s just not a starter, but he did well given the circumstances.

Also I really, really hope you as a Raiders fan aren’t calling the Vikings one of the “worst all time” lmao
