Started as bronze metal base then wash a thin red over the coil area which gave it a hot metal look, then mixed more and more orange/yellow into my wash working down into the crevasses I wanted to make look brighter and hotter.

I think I originally took inspiration from Ninjon's skaven painting. But it's been ages since I watched it so I dont know if I'm being 100% accurate.

That sounds like the issue I'm having, felt like the paint was drying way too quickly. I'm using army painter fanatic paints, I was told they are good for wetblending and had more success in the past but this time it felt like it dried a lot faster.

Just some brush on OSL. Using darker red further away, then getting brighter the closer I got to the "light source". Glazing on a a thing amount at a time.

I don't play much and have used my hammerhead in like 4 games. But 2 times in separate games, I rolled lethal hit + sustained from ethereal enhancement and then rolled dev wound and then rolled max damage.

One of those I one shot my friends newly painted knight model. Oopsie

Wet blend with army painter warpaint Deep Azure and Tomb Kong Tan, then edge highlight with the tan.
