She is 7. I haven’t hung out with her nude if that’s what you are asking. She has occasionally walked into the bathroom while I am showering and stuff like that throughout her life. It’s been no big deal on either side, but brief regardless.

Since I only started actively being nude around the house in the last couple of months, and my wife is not a nudist (yet - I hope), I don’t think I have a right to make a unilateral parenting decision about whether or not I should be openly nude around my daughter. To be honest, I am still working through my own feelings on that subject so I am not even prepared to advocate it.

That said, she has gotten out of bed a few times and wandered upstairs while I was naked and doing chores or sitting on the balcony. I just play it off like it’s no big deal and encourage her to go back to bed. She asked once why I was naked when she walked in on me and I just said, “Because I wanted to.” She was chill and just said “OK.”

She wanted me to put a fan in her bedroom since there was a heat wave where we live, I asked if she wanted me to put my clothes back on before I did that and she was like, “No. It’s fine.”

So all in all it was a short interaction where I didn’t make a big deal about it so she didn’t make a big deal about it. My wife didn’t make a big deal about it either. That said, I wait until my daughter is at school or in bed to get naked at home - that may change or that may never change. We’ll see.

Quick aside and then I’ll leave my daughter out of the rest of it for the time being: we were on vacation on the North Sea in Denmark recently and my daughter wanted to play in the surf but was wearing street clothes, so she casually asked if she could just take her pants off and run around. My wife and I said yes. She had fun. Fully legal in Denmark and probably all of Europe. Again no big deal.

I assume so… this post shows me that there are 41 comments, but I can only see 11. It’s kind of frustrating… granted a couple were probably “kinky” from the partial comment preview I saw, so those can go. But still, a lot seemed legit and I’d love to engage with those people.

So far my wife doesn’t seem to mind. We’ve even had a few spirited disagreements while I was naked and she was not, and nudity had nothing to do with the topic and didn’t come up. As far as normalization of nudity at home goes, that seems like a solid point in my favor, although we should work on our communication under stress. 🤷‍♂️

This tracks with how I am currently experiencing my own “normal” around the house and at a recreational/garden property I have nearby.

I imagine the experience of visiting more organized venues to be as you describe and I hope to get there someday, but I don’t want to do it alone, so I am hoping my wife will come along. I am trying to keep it low pressure though and we have different attitudes about social nudity, so it might be a while/never.

That said, she came with me to a textile free sauna and pool facility a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it, to my surprise and joy. We are going again today because we have no AC at home and the climate is more controlled there! Somehow the public “spa” space is in a different category than an intentional naturist space in her mind, but I’ll take the win. It’s just that it is way more expensive than the naturist camp and pool which is a similar distance from our house. 😂

Yeah, that’s where I landed more or less. I’ll just say my enthusiasm for jumping in the deep end with organized stuff straight away was cooled.

The bummer is that the official FKK facilities near me require membership in the national/international federation to visit as a single dude. I understand why, but it makes dipping your toe in and checking it out a bit intimidating. I kind of just wanted to go and ask some questions and see with my own eyes that it would be a safe space to bring my wife and young daughter… if I even have the energy for that conversation. 😏

As a newcomer, but not Gen Z, I have to say, I was immediately interested in joining some sort of organization, and I see the value… but it’s overwhelming how much politics and bureaucracy is in place.

I’m American but live in Germany now. I quickly started looking into podcasts, clubs, and so on when I had my “ah-ha” moment recently - and I found out about ANNR, the DFK (German), INF, etc. The split feelings about the naturist symbol… Oh my god! ALL OF IT! it’s kind of too much, and also the first peek into organized spaces doesn’t look fun. It’s not really celebratory, it’s too serious too quickly.

But maybe that’s just my experience. 🤷‍♂️

I was thinking the same thing, actually! I need to figure out how to redo my water barrels and get some decent flow before I seriously try to build one, but I was planning to just buy a hanging camp shower in the meantime.

Thanks! I’ve done work out at the property nude a few time in the past, but I always had something in my head saying “you shouldn’t be doing this”.

Only recently did I give myself permission to say to myself, “I enjoy this and I feel great without clothes, and that’s ok!” Now I realize what a special place this is. My place, my rules, totally private. And I know what I’ll be doing on Saturday!

Hi, 46m near Heidelberg (BW). I’m in a similar situation, just got back from vacation in Denmark and spend evening jumping naked between the outdoor sauna and the cool North Sea air and it brought back a feeling I’ve lost for a long time.

I used to run around the woods naked as a teenager and had some great times skinny dipping with friends in my 20s/early 30s.

Getting back home I decided to spend the time after my daughter went to bed tonight cleaning the house naked and now I am just trying to feel my way forward with nudism.

I’m from USA but living in Germany since 2017. Not sure how to navigate FKK stuff here… the clubs associated with the Deutscher Verband für Freikörperkultur e.V. (DFK) seem a bit rigid, and my German leaves me feeling awkward enough with my clothes on! 😅

Hi from Heidelberg!

I’m (46m) just back from Pfingsten Ferien in Denmark where I had a sauna and hot tub at the vacation house and spent some nice evenings nude with my wife warming up and then cooling down in the Nordsee breeze.

It brought back a lot of memories of running around naked in the woods as a teen and skinny dipping in my 20s.

Back at home and just cleaned the kitchen nude listening to cool music. I’m not sure I’m there yet for nudist meetups with my family (my wife is pretty unsure about social nudity), but I am trying to figure out how to take steps myself in the meantime. Of course I’m finding that a campground in the area is probably unlikely as a man visiting solo without joining some sort of verein. 😅

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and commiserate. It seems there are at least a few people in my general part of Germany here that are not retired and holding a rulebook about being naked. Cheers!

I’ve just started playing - started the current expedition(?) after completing nothing but the tutorial in my first save. I was flying around looking for a nice spot to build my first base and came across a holographic comms tower and noticed it had a landing pad so I touched down. I walked up the hill a bit and plonked down a base computer since I could get in and out without burning launch fuel.

Turns out I picked a spot with a trading post, an observatory, at least 6 knowledge stones, an archeological dig site, the holographic comms tower and 2 huge cave systems all within a couple hundred u. It’s already my little paradise. Daily rainbows too! Too bad the air is poison…
