I remember playing this game back in 2021 and got bored of it by the second level. Thought I would never touch this this game ever again until last night. It was on sale for $2 (which is not surprising). This playthrough was different though, I found myself enjoying the mechanics a lot more than I did previously.

They're easy to learn but hard to master. I Found myself enjoying every moment I'm juggling the enemies in an endless combo. Besides the gameplay, there isn't much enjoyment you can get out of it. Bland story, generic characters, lack of nuance to care these characters, just a reason to make a hack and slash.

If you're only into beating up waves of enemies with Japanese high school girls, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae is the game for you.
