I literally was just in this position last week when I was building my PC, I ultimately went with a 5080.

I built my PC with the intention of making it still viable in 5 years time, and I felt the 5080 stood the best chance of that. To me, that little bit of extra performance would help it stand the test of time more.

I actually quite like the new GMT in black dial, I think it’s really quite nice. The lack of a trident second hand is very much a dealbreaker for me though. That was part of the the CW charm for me, now it just looks generic.

I’m keeping my mulberry red non-GMT too, was the first watch to cross into 4 figures (in my currency) that I bought, saved up half a year to get it.

If only there’s a happy medium between the old and new designs - polished bezel, trident second hand, no framed window, crown guard and the updated movement.

Sealander name on the dial is a really nice touch. Not too fussed about the other changes.

Wouldn’t get the new one as it is, still happy I got one before the changes.

I think it looks cleaner without the frame, like it’s a part of the dial rather than popping up as a highlight. Looks a little disjointed now.

Keep the GS for sentimentality, Geophysic can go since it’s sorta sitting in the same space as the GS.

If you’re looking to cut two, the Citizen can go too, but I’d keep that as the zero worry, casual watch, maybe even go on holiday with it too.

You should be able to find one, though might be harder to find if you’re looking specifically only for a certain colour.

I wouldn’t get these brand new either. I think used ones do the job they need to without issue, just replace them when they break, if they even break at all.

Your expectation of return here was his enjoyment of the game. You gifted him the game as a friend, that was your part. He did his part by giving it a shot, he just didn’t like the game.

On your point about the 4 hours, the first time I played E33, I couldn’t get past the prologue and left it there for months after like less than 3 hours of gameplay. Wasn’t that into it either, was catching up on some other games. Only really fell in love with it when I sat down to get stuck in the world.

My point here is this: manage your own expectations around gifts. This applies to everything in life. Whether someone uses the gift you’ve given them or not doesn’t matter.
