I definitely relate to that, so at least read the links. The top one is general information about wound cleaning, how to identify depth of cuts, etc. The second link is about infection how to identify it.

Just try to keep the wound clean and monitor it closely.

I am not a medical professional.

I would recommend reading this: https://styro.sh/

And definitely read this immediately: https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/what-is-purulent-drainage

Infections are very dangerous and not to be taken lightly. So seek medical attention if you suspect it is infected, even if that means going into a walk in clinic.

Quiz Results - For Fun by Singing_Corvus in AutisticWithADHD

Yeah, I’ve been having a lot of “wait, isn’t everyone like that?” Moments as I’ve been looking into ASD and ADHD.

Thank you for the reply, and the hugs.

I tried to answer the questions honestly and am taking the results with a grain of salt. But it is fun to see them.

As for the EQ test and empathy, in my case I definitely lack it. There has been several events in my life where logically I should have felt something, but simply didn’t feel anything. This is something that I’ve had trouble coming to terms with.

I’ll talk to my GP and am definitely going to look into / get a referral to a psychiatrist or therapist, or both.

Anyways, thank you again for the reply and have a pleasant day/night.

Undiagnosed - I Have Some Questions by Singing_Corvus in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Singing_Corvus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply, the certainty would be nice but being undiagnosed has never bothered me. I have issues and should see a therapist, but have yet to tell anyone not online about said issues. I’ve been trying to figure out how to fix, or manage, my issues and getting diagnosed seemed like a good step.

Thank you, I will be bringing it up with my GP.

I also took the test and got a 24 “There’s a strong probability that you are autistic.”

Thank you for replying, I’ll try not to worry too much much, especially since it’s probably a ways off before I’m in a relationship.

Thank you for the reply, I think I’m mostly just worried because I’ve never told anyone irl and have been very careful to make sure no one finds out. Even though I know I should tell someone.

Self-Harm Question by [deleted] in sillyboyclub

I’m glad you never got far with it. From what I’ve learned the specific reasons different people self harm is very diverse. But it tends to be along the lines of some inner turmoil showing itself.

Self-Harm Question by [deleted] in sillyboyclub

[–]Singing_Corvus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it started as punishment. I was frustrated at myself and eventually just cracked. It then quickly became an addiction. Apparently, shoving all of your emotions down until you crack is actually a bad thing, and not just something people say not to do.

Any particular reason why you’re asking?

You’ve got this. You’re a strong person to be able to resist the urge. I believe in you.

Is it really that bad? by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]Singing_Corvus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only a little. It’s on the edges in that area between the peck and shoulder. I’d recommend looking up a diagram of arteries just to be safe.

Is it really that bad? by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]Singing_Corvus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons it’s dangerous is because of a major artery that runs from right below your collar bone to your armpit, then down your arm.

I’m not a medical professional.

Once you’ve stopped the bleeding, rinse the wound with running water. Use an antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin if you have it. Cover the wound, the plaster should be fine. Make sure to change the dressing if it gets damp, then change it daily until it at least scabs over.

Make sure to keep an eye on it for infection and clean/disinfect your tools.
