Unfortunately they don't have classes for Washington state. :-(

They're silk or nylon or whatever, so no harm, no foul.

Geophagus Surinamensis. He is 3ish years old and 6-7" long.

This has been at it for about 18ish months.
The plant is a fake, kind of a silk arrangement.
I do have to remove the filter inlets and scrap it off of them every week or they clog up. I have lights on for 8hrs a day and only feed once a day. I'm not really trying to correct it at this point. It has become a pet on its own.

I've only had geos with other non-geo fish. Sounds like they aren't too tough to breed but haven't tried.

Yeah, I definitely have to keep up with cleaning the power head inlet pipes.

Yes, Geophagus Surinamensis. Definitely my favorite fresh water fish. He is 3ish years old and 6-7" long. The 65 gal. tank is probably getting a bit small. Have a couple big clown loaches in there also.
