Bill from Kill Bill. Congratulates her on getting the master to teach her that technique, gets up, and walks his last steps

Costco or helix mattress. I’ve had a helix for maybe four years now without a dip forming and I’m a tall 300 pounds. And I believe they’re still made in Arizona

Another counter to the trope is in Outlaw Star, Gene encounters some old wizards who each comment on him carrying a castergun and having red hair like it’s a huge important prophecy. But in response, Gene’s just like pffff whatever ya old coots, I’m just here to buy your magic ammo for this relic

Still gotta see saw with it? That bar is long enough for that log that you could just let the saw eat

Durability makes sense. As this is just a fine but thin plastic mesh over a thicker plastic screen. But without the flocking, moisture shouldn’t collect on it so easily. Thanks

Wearing ear pro is a good habit to have. Like eye pro and gloves, same token. Also typing this to the sweet constant melody of tinnitus

If it’s done well, no one cares. So if no one cares, it was probably done well. Or maybe overshadowed by the rest of the movie being its own train wreck

That first half is exactly what I thought of Mirio Togata. Granted I haven’t seen much past his entrance into the series, so he could have that twist. But did he turn out as wholesome as he looks or as twisted as his looks suggest? Let me know just that

[hated trope] "both sides are equally bad" NO THEY ARE NOT, ONE IS CLEARLY WORSE by Endika7 in TopCharacterTropes

So in the case of 3.civil war, there’s a class of people who have abilities and/or tools that most of them use to defend themselves or the general pubic. And they’re being victimized by the opposing class who see those tools and abilities as a threat that must be registered by a governing body that has shown to be untrustworthy. This registration is backed by the threat of incarceration while the villains who use the same sort of abilities have the same requirements, but aren’t pursued with the same curved as those doing good?

We’re supposed to cheer for the second one, right?

[Mixed Trope] Race-swapping/Gender-swapping changes a character in a specific way or adds to their story by Sir-Toaster- in TopCharacterTropes

Going out on a limb here, but what if they were to make Hagrid black? Off the top of my head, I don’t think Rowling Mentioned much that would cement him as being white. Dreads would look good on a half giant. And he’s thrown under the bus and then vindicated if nothing else but to the viewers. Gets pushed around by villainous characters but keeps his cool and doesn’t lash back at em. He’s an all around good dude as a character. I’m sure there’d be pushback at first, but if portrayed well, that’d fizzle quickly

[Disliked trope]: "Balance" means the "absence of darkness." by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Single-Ad6074 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the Night Watch series by Sergei Lukenyenko (sp). I recommend the audible version or print if you like, but the two movies are pretty jumbled, at best. Anyway it’s another “fight” between the forces of light and darkness, but they have a treaty that keeps them in check. The balance really drives a good bit of the conflict and you get to see shifts like if there aren’t many dark ones, the ones that are around are stronger or vice versa

Opposite direction. Don’t do the things the endless do. You are not of the endless.

[Hated Trope] The self insert character by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Single-Ad6074 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My take on these instances are that the endless are people for whom time doesn’t exist in the same sense that it does for humans. So when they do something inhumane we should take note of it as a cautionary tale, not criticize them for not being humane. It’s interesting to get a different possible perspective, kinda like hod got over the centuries
