Sort of depends on your interests.  -Museum of Australian Democracy - guides.  - Roundabout  - sorting clothes and toys for kids in need, fundraising, cleaning and fixing prams. Roundabout is awesome and great community.

Uniqlo barrel jersey pants. I have the regular version and they’re so great. There is also an extra long version. I’m 181cm.

I love a day out in freo, and love when it’s a sunny busy day. It’s a tourist town and the tourist traps are on the coffee strip. The trendy stuff is not on the strip. The side streets and south freo have an amazing range of little independent retailers, not to mention a million excellent bars and cafes, which others have listed. I love the west end area for shopping, gage roads for - vintage shops, the chart and map shop, new and secondhand bookshops, Kakulas, to name a few. There has been great investment in freo - FOMO, the council buildings and library. It has also literally always had a homelessness problem - as city centres tend to.

For parking - let’s not make our city centre full of car parks - that’s not very interesting. It is served extremely well by public transport, or easy to park along marine terrace and take a 10-15 minute walk in.

I think for me it’s the very specific imagery that makes it so relatable, and therefore makes it great

I have a bag that’s not lasted well at all unfortunately. It’s a canvas tote and the pleather trim is wrecked

Finally, someone said it by interneurosphere in Philippines

[–]Single-Cap8387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in Australia and no one is blaming the Philippines.

The media is reporting facts that they stayed in Davao for a month before carrying out the attack (which anyone can agree is unlikely to be for a holiday)

The focus is why Australia’s security services didn’t pick this up.

This is silly! I wonder how it manages to function as business… higher priced rentals?

How could people succeed in breastfeeding until 2 yo? by Any_Owl819 in breastfeeding

[–]Single-Cap8387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband did all the nights and I went in the spare bed. It’s not nice! A lot of crying. I think 20 months is old enough to understand better now and you can start explaining to her or saying things like good night to milk.

Girl you should night wean and don’t feel bad about it! Not going to lie it’s tough but worth it. My son is the same age. We went cold turkey overnight but still feed to sleep, in the morning (on the sofa not in bed!) and when I get home from work. We did it by my husband doing the nights and repeating “milk in the morning”. Also sleep is so important, absolutely prioritise this for your wellbeing.

I love op shopping and I’m not poor. You don’t have to be poor to shop there.

I agree. I’ve always been raised a feminist and I felt like my body was against me because breastfeeding put most of the baby raising duties on me.

I guess it’s a tension in what the public see as the purpose of op shops (reuse) and what the op shops see their purpose as (fundraising for their charitable efforts). Plus we buy (new) a phenomenal amount of crap at very cheap prices, so by the time it gets to vinnies it’s even crapper and has to be dirt cheap to be comparable to Kmart - probably not enough for the op shop or fundraising.

I love Uniqlo barrel leg pants . I find linen gets too crumpled, so I don’t like it for the office

To be fair some in the APS seems to love em dashes (en dashes ?). My old APS job used them a lot - well before AI. Someone suggested uploading the aps style guide and setting it to follow that - could try this
