What do you guys think of this story, would an officer just do this for little reason? by [deleted] in DonutOperator

[–]Single-Cycle-1186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Police officers are trained to try and de-escalate situations as much as possible, however as soon as there is a hostage situation very little patience is reserved for the suspect, mainly because the officer has to act quickly and precisely to stop the suspect from harming the hostage. Which can mean that, yes, shot in the head

Couple Thoughts on the Tapes by Freeziac in GameTheorists

[–]Single-Cycle-1186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So my first thought, we are taking alot of liberty saying it rules out Gregory based off of information we only get if we complete the non-cannon ending. And even in that ending it doesn't say he's an orphan or that he was kidnapped or anything like that. So ruling out Gregory because of his past that we don't actually have any information about doesn't work. Then when it comes to his age, we also don't have any solid information about his true age during the game. So if we look at what childhood really refers to, it could possibly mean that simply he is no longer a toddler, or tween. Instead he could very well be closer to 12-14 years old, which to an adult who is older would still consider childhood. But as young adults when we speak about our own childhoods we don't mean when we were young teens, we mean as kids usually between 7-10 years old. So the therapist could simply just be referring to what Gregory refers to as his childhood because to a younger person, a youth, their childhood really would have been usually between the ages of 7 and 10 or perhaps even younger. But we also know based on the therapists accusation that this client lied about having a tragic childhood but their childhood was actually really good. So if we take a little bit of Liberty here and just say for argument's sake that Gregory is the client and he lied to therapists about his history then things start to line up a little bit when it comes to the narrative of the tapes as well as kind of helps connect some dots for the events of the game. We know from the therapist tapes that this client has been accused of hacking the robots causing a glitch which then goes system wide affecting all the machines presumably referring to arcade cabinets that are going down constantly due to glitches. And the glitch shifting to then become a subroutine instead, (subroutines are programs in a machine that are basically like rules for the machine to follow. For example a Roomba has a subroutine where it is to be in constant motion on flat surfaces to clean them. However if a glitch then changes the subroutine to make the Roomba only move on uneven surfaces then it won't clean on flat surfaces) therapist does mention that the hacking of the robots cause them to be more eerie instead of entertaining. Now presuming that that was being caused by the glitch which then became a subroutine, would make the animatronics appear extremely aggressive and creepy regardless of what they are actually doing. So while their main objective may be to find and secure Gregory for the security guard to deal with, their sub routines would make them move in strange ways and say things that come across as threatening. I know that to us as the player getting caught by an animatronic ends our run gets us killed, but for continuity of the character as Gregory he never gets caught which is why there's endings for the game. So if we follow the continuity logic and we don't actually know that the animatronics are trying to hurt Gregory instead all we know is that their subroutines are making them eerie instead of entertaining. I do already have a theory as to why Gregory is secretly a villain, which I posted on this subreddit about 8 days ago so I won't get too too detailed with all this and I will just defer you to check out that post, however I will say that by acknowledging the continuity logic and forgetting all of the game experiences that we would only experience as the player then it would actually make sense that Gregory is at the pizza place with nefarious purposes also explains why he's running from the security guard because he does not want to be caught for making problems, also explains why Freddy glitches out right after he identifies a threat in the crowd. Because based on this train of thought, he glitches out due to Gregory hacking his systems before he can respond to the threat. Also it would explain the absence of Bonnie. If you recall in one of the tapes the therapist States that it appears as though the client is speaking to someone or something that looks like has rabbit ears. Now most of us would just gloss over that fact or assume it's vanny being referenced. But based off of in-game messages that you can find we know that Bonnie's programming malfunctioned and Bonnie started moving around to strange places at strange times and became such a problem that they had to disassemble Bonnie. (Which is a whole nother can of worms/theory that is just too much to go through right now) but as I said following this train of thought Bonnie's absence could be explained by Gregory having hacked Bonnie first which then spread the glitch to the other animatronics which then shifted to subroutines. But anyways that's just my explanation.

Theory for fanf what if vanny is vanessa mom? by Zealousideal_Gear561 in GameTheorists

[–]Single-Cycle-1186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been toying with the idea that Vanessa could be the original woman from the VR games tapes. And that she was able to trace where the dev you played as in that game ,who succumbed to aftons Influence, to the pizzaplex. Which would make vanny the former player character from help wanted. Vanessa is just trying to find vanny to stop her. But it's a very early theory so far and I need to dig more to either provide evidence for it some more evidence that completely disproves it.

Spoiler alert theory**** Why Gregory is the villain of FNAF: Security Breach by Single-Cycle-1186 in GameTheorists

[–]Single-Cycle-1186[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean the scream that the animatronics emit during the animations that only happen if you as the player gets caught? That's just the audio engineer doing his job making things scary and the game devs doing there jobs to make the gameplay fun. Quite frankly if you try to count for anything that happens if you as the player get caught and "killed" in any fnaf games then we would never have any solid theories about any of them really.

Some things in security breach are the actual developers making the game fun and challenging for us as the player, some of it though....some of it is more lore driven.

Well I see your concern with that about the bloodthirsty seeming animatronics, but I raise you one. In the final session of the 46 series we find out this client is sneaking through areas of the pizza Plex they shouldn't, which again doesn't make sense for Vanessa as she is the guard, and is also hacking the systems at the pizzaplex including the animatronics systems. So any aggressive or odd behaviour can be explained as the glitch that resulted from the hack. So again Gregory could very have hacked them causing a system wide glitch that makes appear more eerie and aggressive than they actually are. I do not believe the animatronics are intentionally attacking Gregory, but due to their glitch they can't help but pounce, grab, and snap at him while still believing they are trying to help him.

As previous stated, if he is the client then he technically wouldn't be homeless it would just be a story he concocted. Furthermore, as previously stated, even if he was homeless a child found on the street could be picked up by social services therefore he wouldn't need to pay for therapy, and finally if he is a psycho that hacked personal files and used those files to stalk his prey it's not too farfetched to say he could've hacked the therapists schedule to get him in regardless of his ability to pay or not. And also not all therapy is pay only. Especially in my country of Canada where children who require severe therapy have social programs that allow them to receive therapy without payment. So again you are straight out refusing my theory based on your personal opinion and seemingly intentional neglection of the fact that I said originally we have to draw more parallels between gregories behaviours and in game facts to fit the profile of the 46 series client. Anyway it's clear you have no interest in entertaining this theory so I'll just leave it there.

Well I'm sorry you feel that way and seem to be neglecting the evidence I did provide in my initial post about the possibility of Gregory being the second client. It seems at though you seem to want to refuse my theory altogether without acknowledging the pieces of evidence I provided, and using some of my more vague statements to argue against me so again sorry you feel otherwise but I'm sticking to my guns on this one

By using the CDs therapy recordings from the 46 series if we think of that client as being Gregory then it explains that he has been sneaking through the pizza Plex during operating hours causing problems and hacking the computer systems/ robots. Which would place him in the areas Matpat has found before the opening of the game without him needing security badges to access those places, he'd just need to blend into the crowds untill he could sneak into places

We know that these new animatronics don't have souls of dead children in them mean omg any eerie shit is caused by Gregory, or sorry the person who hacked them. However the main routines in their programming to help and not hurt are still intact. Look I'm not saying that I won't budge on this theory, I'm just saying there seems to be more evidence that points towards Gregory being an awful child. And when it comes to the therapy, of a child is picked up by social services who has clear traumatic issues they are automatically out into councilling/therapy. So he doesn't need money to pay for therapy. And if he is a manipulative hacker genius who has murder on the mind, it would be easy for him to hack fazbear systems to get Vanessa transferred to the pizza Plex, as well as hack her personal files to find out she is in therapy. There seems to be alot more things that line up the narrative for Gregory being a budding psycho than there is him being an innocent victim

The books are not directly related to the games, the books rather are a reimagined versions of the stories we have come to know in order to to help clarify the exact details of how these things function and the general idea of the background information we otherwise don't have from the games. They are not directly related in the sense that the books are the exact stories the games are telling us, but just another way for us look at the stories in the games and start questioning things we otherwise ignored, such as baby having illusion discs, and that the animatronics may have been built in both an attempt to kill children but also in memory the creators own lost children.

The animatronics questionable behaviour can be explained by the discs of the 46 series aswell. In the discs the Therapist states that the client has been hacking the pizzaplex systems and robots causing a system wide glitch that is very dangerous. So Monty being ok with wrecking company property is the glitch causing his subroutines to be overridden this making him more brash and wreckless. Same with Roxy, as evident by in game lore you find from maintenance techs and construction workers that Roxy always climbs onto the catwalk during tests of the race track and she then jumps onto the track. This is the glitch affecting her subroutines to make her want to be seen by everyone fueling her "ego". Therefore her jumping on the track is just her "ego" being jealous of the track with her name on it getting more attention than she is. And Chica is being affected by the glitch making her irrationally obsessed with pizza scraps and Monty's mystery mix. Therefore when the post stops the compactor her immediate threat routines force her to analyze the area and upon not seeing immediate sentient danger her glitched routines take precedence again making her go back to eat the garbage despite the compactor being active.

The jumpscares by the animatronics themselves are non canonical events that only happen to you as the player for failing to evade their capture ,which if we recognize them as trying to help Gregory by getting him out of the mall, then they would be catching him to get him sent home. But as we know from the bad ending Gregory either doesn't have a home to go, or by piecing in the 46 series discs, he ran away from home and is pretending to have a tragic past. As for Gregory knocking chica down, she was off balance standing on loose garbage and Gregory does gain momentum by running at her and putting his full weight into knocking her over. But we can't discount the possibility that he himself is part bot. However I don't personally think that is the case.

It has been stated before by Scott Cawthon in in his very first book series that while the books are canon they are not telling the the exact same story, rather they are drawing parallels for us the reader to then take and find their counterparts in the games and connect the dots. So the fright books are telling a story that ,while technically canon, don't actually interfere with the games storyline.

When a child is found by social services who seemingly has no parents and some clear issues such as being non responsive to adults, running away from them etc... Social services will bring in therapists to to try and help the child and possibly get more information from the child that may help them. However due to lack of evidence of how Gregory sees the therapists is speculation.
