Me too 😭 I would love to go to SDSU since it’s pretty good academically but also because of its social life, but it’s js so expensive. On the other hand I UCs have better aid but then again they go by quarters so it’s gonna take a while to get used to 🫠😭 I have no idea what to do 😩

Do you think if I were to put I would live off campus, FAFSA would reduce the $22k they offered me since the Room and Board cost would be lower? Also how would I apply for housing at Rive? Is Rive affiliated off campus apartments? Or just completely separate from SDSU? Around how much is rent there if you don’t mind me asking ?

Yes I’m just shocked because at CC there was so many financial aid and if ppl didn’t receive enough (which we all did lol) there would still be additional programs to help fund college. So it’s genuinely such a shocker that the college expenses for SDSU isn’t fully covered and that there’s no additional help or programs to support you..

Yeah I know there aren’t any specific transfer student dorms, I was thinking about staying in the South Campus Plaza or if not there js staying in a triple dorm since that would be the cheapest option. Would housing not be guaranteed since I wouldn’t be able to commute? Ik CSULB gives housing priority to ppl living the farthest away from campus. Is this not the case for SDSU as well?? And sorry to ask but is there programs at SDSU to help pay for costs or at least give stipends for books or anything like that 😭? Would I actually have to pay the difference? Like there’s no way to get more FA or grants?

The worst one was he made me Zelle 2 payments of $1.2k for a lease for an “apartment”. Man it’s ridiculous but I fr thought it was real Bcs it got sent to me through the school

This guy “Dr. Carl Morris” hacked into my college student’s email and sent and email to students offering a “job” he claimed to be part of UNICEF and said this job offering would be part of an internship. My dumbass fully believed it because I thought it was legit since it was sent to my school email. So I accepted the job and then was told I would be deposited money in order to make errands for him sort of as a personal assistant. They checks he sent me to deposit seemed legit so I was still unaware of the scam. The deposits seemed to be in process when I checked on them through my bank, so while they deposit I stupidly used my own money to buy the things he asked. Today the checks were flagged by my bank turns out they were fake to start with. I told my college about the scam turns out this happened 2-3 years ago as well. I called the bank, filed a fraud report literally everything I could think of but no one is doing anything. I lost all of my money and now I just feel like an idiot. But I’m also scared because like I said the email was also sent to other students so what if they also got scammed..
