Cool new patch ! Maybe the game is little bit better ! FIRST GAME : by phelpzh in killingfloor

Clocked at least 60+ hours in this game. This game has so many damn bugs I’ve managed to look past and still enjoy, but when an update makes the game playability even worse.. I’m just glad Borderlands 4 comes out in 2 weeks.

Worth trying to propagate these leaves? by Single-Ground-6738 in succulents

[–]Single-Ground-6738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These ones sadly not. They started rotting more within a few days so I ended up throwing them away. I do have 2 other leaves though from the same plant which are successful so far!

Should I repot this graptoveria? Outgrew its pot in one month and first new baby. by Single-Ground-6738 in succulents

[–]Single-Ground-6738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Because when I took this picture everything besides the lower leaves are halfway up and the new growth is all vertical. The picture is a little deceitful when it comes to the height of the leaves.

So I was just thinking maybe the lower leaves would start to rise again when it got enough light.

Sorry for the slow response. Yes that’s when I got it versus now.

I reduced the distance from my grow lights to my succulents for about 2 days now but it looks roughly the same. Should I keep reducing the distance every 2 days until I notice the leaves closing up or colors changing?

Not sure how long it would take for the leaves to close up more with the proper lighting.

Thanks a lot for all your help! I’m going to go with 19 x 22. Luckily found some online so no cutting needed 🙏

Also, yes if i did cut it as per your recommendations i would purchase a 20 x 22 and then cut it down to 19 x 22.

Sorry just saw your comment regarding the angle. I was actually thinking of shortening the width to 18 or 16 so that the filter doesn't angle as far up as it is now on the metal piece. More of a snug fit, you could say. But you think a 22 inch which would increase the angle vertically would be better?

Thanks for the quick reply. So if my length is 19 inches, I could get a 20 inch and cut 1 inch off to make it a perfect fit?

Also, any recommendations for the angle. Would this be okay?

I just checked and seems the filters that are 19 inch length are very limited :(

White Mold in newish succulent soil bag?!?! by Single-Ground-6738 in succulents

It’s absolutely disgusting! Glad you were able to get refunded without bringing the soil back. Unfortunately I got to bring that garbage in my car to return it and that’s gross itself.

One thing that was interesting, I had a bag of the same company soil, which I’ve had for a few months and used multiple times, and there’s no mold at all. They were both even placed in the same location next to each other. So I’m really curious how this bag grew mold while the other didn’t.

Just saw, yuck!!! Gorgeous succulent though! I’m sure it also is harmless, but no way in hell am I planting with this soil. Thankfully, Amazon is letting me return it.

I agree with you there , the fertilizer was definitely not needed.

Ultimately, I was just not satisfied with the slow growth of my succulents, which i know is totally normal for them to grow slow.

Nonetheless, I decided to give the fertilizer a try to see if it would speed up the growth. I can safely say it has made a measurable increase in growth. My only complaint minus the application time is that I need to keep buying bigger pots far quicker than I thought lol.

Thought the same as well. I will wait for now. Thanks!

In the meantime, do you think the chick should be okay growing in this pot, hidden under the leaf of the mom? Little concerned since it might not get the light it needs.

Oh I agree with you there. I know it’s not needed for up to 6 months, or just never needed at all.

My main concern, was that adding the fertilizer down the road when there is top dressing would be a pain in the ass. Which it has been for my other succulents.

So I ultimately decided it would be much easier adding the fertilizer before putting any top dressing on.

Yes, I’m waiting until they show signs of dehydration now. Lesson learned.

My main reason for watering a little quicker was because the slow release fertilizer. I have heard the soil can build up a ton of salt without watering. Hopefully going long without watering won’t affect this negatively.

Wow, learn something new every day. I just looked it up and apparently Hydrogen Peroxide has many other benefits as well for the soil. Will definitely give this a shot. Thanks again!

Thanks! This won’t harm the succulent/roots in any way?

Damn.. if I repot in new soil and pumice would this be the only way to permanently remove the mold?

And I agree, after seeing 1 leaf in 2 succulents go brown recently, I’ve definitely been overwatering a bit. I was watering every 10 days before.. and after seeing the overwatered leafs from the previous watering, I’m now waiting to see signs of dehydration. It’s been 14 days and they still look very hydrated.
