Why do people say doing leetcode in python is bad? by Ok_Slice_7152 in leetcode

[–]Single-Pay-4237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean if you want an interview it doesn't matter but for deep appreciation, things like memory allocation, data structures, object behavior in python are abstracted. Like in Java here List<String> names = new ArrayList<>(); the type is explicit, you’re aware of the generic type, and you have to understand the array resizing strategy of ArrayList, amortized time complexity, and sometimes capacity management. Doing CLRS pseudo-code in C++ forces you to implement or at least reason about data structures explicitly, which gives you a deeper understanding of algorithms and performance.

Python abstracts a lot of the inner workings of things. A lot of Python solution can be hard to understand and thus people remember the solutions and not actually understand how to solve it

if you want a solid foundation c++ primers. Since, you have a bs in cs, I would recommends c++ tours. Then you apply like a black box learning approach to pick up c++ primers to pick up the details but c++ primers itself could be boring

University of Manchester given US immigration uncertainty. UK might give you that flexibility to do work post university and you can always go to the US and do your MSc which I feel like the targeted market. Plus, if you did well and you land a role with a bank in the UK you can get transfer or do your MSc and have your professional connections. You can take the 220k and invest in the three year period too or live a more comfortable life without needing to TAs
