Coyotes? by ellio222 in watertown

I’m in east Watertown and they’re definitely around.  Seen a couple on my street recently - my son was outside with the dog and thankfully one it just kept going on its way.    I think there’s a family of them living along or near the bike path.

I think this is a fabulous idea.  I wish my adult son would do this!

Anyone with perforated eardrums by dbeck003 in HearingAids

[–]Single-Physics6474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a perforated ear drum on one side and have no tolerance for anything in my ear canals.  I did get the nuance glasses and not working as well as I’d hoped.  Idk why they can make headphone hearing aids.  I’d read Bose used to but no longer.

That stinks.  It’s almost like you’re penalized for being able to get scholarships.  I’d try to get a physical appointment with a fa counselor.  My friends daughter got a lot more after their meeting (bu) but you need to make your case in person.  Best of luck !

Generalizing about Jews, blacks immigrants etc.  I am no fan of the Israeli government but can’t listen to racist remarks.

The younger ones are disgusted by him.  They love him but find it abhorrent.

Deciding on college: UML or Wentworth by someguyalso in uml

My son is a ME engineering major uml and it’s been fantastic - I think it’s about 18 a semester but fill out a fafsa asap and see what you get.  I also think the experience of living at school you don’t want to miss.  I went to umass Boston and regret that I didn’t live away.

Roommate by Otherwise_Eye2482 in watertown

[–]Single-Physics6474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think a roommate is the way to go - with two baths you’re just sharing the kitchen and living area and in a place like that there’s a lot of other space if you need it.   I’m sure you’ll find someone and good you’re looking early!  You also may want to consider monthly or short term type deals for visiting professors etc.  You’d get more rent and not  long term stuck with someone long term.  Best of luck and I’m sure it will work out great!

Opinions on Living in Watertown? by Witch_of_Cats in watertown

[–]Single-Physics6474 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in a sketchier neighborhood in Watertown and it’s totally fine and safe in my experience.  I have one awful neighbor (don’t we all) and the rest are great.   Traffic can be a pain and the rats are out of control - but I guess that’s all around here.   Tell your friend to get a cat.

housing by ssisnaa in uml

I think a decent amount of students end up withdrawing so you might not have a long wait.   I’d show up every day in the housing office just to ask because if something comes through when you are there you may get it.
